Thank you, Paul! I configured it like suggested and it works! Yes, I know. The problem is that it seems the default init script for wifi does not use the Linux hostname ("pcp1" - in my case) for starting udhcpc, but the LMS player name (which may contain spaces: "Kitchen Player"). I want to change the wifi script that it uses the configured Linux hostname (without spaces). 2x Squeezebox Radio| piCorePlayer with IQaudIO DigiAMP+ | piCorePlayer with HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro | piCorePlayer with touch screen and USB DAC ashceryth's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67137 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113512 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Just to clarify: Replace the symlink /usr/local/etc/init.d/wifi with a copy of the script and then add the path to /opt/.filetool.lst, correct? Paul Webster wrote: > hostname can not have a space in it Yes, exactly that's the problem. But that's how it is when the player name has a space. So using the hostname (as set in /etc/hostname) here makes more sense to me. 2x Squeezebox Radio| piCorePlayer with IQaudIO DigiAMP+ | piCorePlayer with HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro | piCorePlayer with touch screen and USB DAC ashceryth's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67137 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113512 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 7.0.0
Hello, I've set a custom hostname via Tweaks page and want that this name is used in dhcp requests. This seems to work for the ethernet interface but not for the wifi interface: Code: 7249 root 0:00 /sbin/udhcpc -b -i eth0 -x hostname:pcp1 -p /var/run/udhcpc.eth0.pid 7826 root 0:00 /sbin/udhcpc -b -i wlan0 -x hostname:Kitchen Player -p /var/run/udhcpc.wlan0.pid It seems that dhcp.sh in /etc/init.d/ uses /etc/hostname for the hostname option: Code: ... /sbin/udhcpc -b -i $DEVICE -x hostname:$(/bin/hostname) -p /var/run/udhcpc.$DEVICE.pid >/dev/null 2>&1 & ... /usr/local/etc/init.d/wifi seems to use the player name: Code: ... /sbin/udhcpc -b -i $INTERFACE -x hostname:$NAME -p /var/run/udhcpc.${INTERFACE}.pid ... Would it be possible to use the hostname here as well? Is there a way to edit this script locally so that it persists during reboots? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 7.0.0
Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the best thread to post my issue, but maybe someone can provide some help. I'm using pCP 7.0.0 (linux 5.4.83-pcpCore-v7 | piCore v12.0pCP | Squeezelite v1.9.8-1344-pCP) on a RPi 3B+ together with HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro HAT connected to a FiiO K5 Pro via Coax. Today, I installed Qobuz plugin on LMS to give HiRes a try. I haven't been playing HiRes audio via LMS before, but I wanted to test some 24bit/192kHz tracks. However, my setup seems to be unable to handle sample rates >96kHz. Playing tracks >96kHz let my Pi "crash" and I need to power-cycle it to get it back running. The Digi+ Pro should be able to handle sample rate up to 192kHz. Is there anything I can try to solve this issue? Thanks!
