Hello

I just finalized to upgrade to last PCP 7, last LMS, jivelite,...etc...
All is working perfect, thanks to the developpers

As I changed my smartphone from IOS =>Android Galaxy, no Airplay
possible anymore.
I wanted to use bluetooth to allow Android mobile to send music to
PCP/LMS

I insert a BT dongle laying around, install the libraries, apply last
patches. It seems to be properly detected. But impossible to pair with
my galaxy. This stupid phone asked for a PIN. I tried  or 1234
without success

same behavior with my laptop windows 10

any idea to debug ?

yes I put 10.10.10.1

ideally i'd like to use bridge mode to reuse IP@ from my primary router
( but it does not workduring a test  on another PI3 (with wifi
embedded))

Wifi.sh was tested only to detect local wifi, I stopped CTLR-C before
running it completely

I activated "reliable" plugin from Philippe . I don't see specific
plugin  configuration except "activate" but nothing related for a
player. I presume there is nothing else to do ?

in menu Wifi, I activated AP feature. When I start the stuff, I loose

I was wondering if the dongle is properly configured: I installed
package wifi.tcz and when launching wifi.sh, it detects properly (but
with poor signal) my external wifi network.


Any idea on how to make this AP wifi running ?

i don't know when it crashes. Generally, this is discovered in the
morning when we want to power on the radio and the Jivelite screen show
the play is KO. 

IT shall crash during the day before as indicated by logs

only features remaing are to control others PICore (LMS still working
locally)

The Woman Acceptance Factor is decreasing a lot since few weeks, my wife
wants me to buy a FM Radio... ;-)

I'm running LMS on PCP 6.1.
Slimserver prefs/cache are on USB-HDD.

I update my favorites.opml in prefs directory

I want to use radio icons saved in LMS HTML directory but as it is
mapped to /tmp/tcloop/slimserver/usr/local/ and is read only, I
cannot make it permanent.

where should I put images files to make it reliable after reboot ? (and
available via LMS server).

Hello

I've upgraded from PCP6b7 to official 6 release.

I had to recalibrate my Waveshare 5'' for Jivelite.

When launching manually Jivelite, it works fine

When activating autostart, it does not work: it boots properly, then
after acquiring IP@ and probably launching jivelite from the default
script, I loose everything. I cannot even connect via SSH or Web.

I cannot find anymore /home/tc/www/cgi-bin/pcp_startup.sh to evaluate
and check its content. probably a problem there ???

That's pitty that tslib and tools have not been compiled with DEBUG mode
available. Is that possible to compile this easily ? (never done it on
picoreplayer)

I strictly follow commands above.
Unfortunately, calibration process is still crazzy, same effect:
calibration steps for random corners are skipped , thus fails.

calibration issue (I'll debug this later), I've used a Waveshare 5'' (B)
instead.

It works like a charm ! Very nice !

pretty sure it's behind TS_LIB calibration.
PiCore TS_LIB tools version has been compiled with limited debug option.

Weird that noboby tries this screen as waveshare is quite common for
touchscreen.

yes I tested ts_test but it does not work as the pointercal values are
NOK. the tool is displayed on the screen byt impossible to draw
anything.

I contacted Ralphy by PM, He's my last solution

Everything works fine for display, except the touchpad feature. only

I see the crosshair.

It seems the calibration process does not work well: sometimes it does

I tried to calibrate by pressing very fast the screen to pass

I've done some search on this forum and abroad without finding the right
calibration parameters.

[SlimDevices: Unix] Picoreplayer on Pi : problem to access remote NFS drive

Hello

Upgrading my PCP to beta 4 I try a new config with LMS installed locally
and USB drive for caching.
I want to mount via NFS music folder from my synology. I use synology
standard NFS parameter that work from others devices, but not from PCP.

Everything seems working on the web interface, but when in LMS I
configure this extra music source  (/mnt/ds916) , it does not display
the /mnt/ds916 music subfolders.
I have the feeling there is a RW acecss permission issue on /mnt/ds916
on PCP

When looking with SSH, I can access /mnt/ds916 only if I'm root but not
with normal "tc" user account.

any idea ?

I change the network confit on my pi 2 from wifi to Ethernet and
hifiberry Amp.

I had to reinstall completely the software

Now, I don't have any clear sound anymore, some times 1-2s and then
nothing anymore.
I check speed network test with iperf3 and it's almost perfect

I don't understand what's the problem

The diagnostic shows that squeeze lite is running with the following ( I
tried to change the buffer, but I. Don't understand this well)

With PC 3.2, if the pi reboots, I sometimes loose wifi connectivity. It
cannot mount the wifi dongle properly. Seems not stable.

LSUSB shows wifi dongle 148F:5370 RALINK RT5370

Wifi coverage is good at the pi location.

What can be the rootcause ?

I've converted VFAT to NTFS on windows with command "CONVERT" without
losing my data
It's working perfectly now

NTFS is the only type fully compatible with music & cache ? that's pitty
VFAT does not work.

I'll try to change type to NTFS with a window tool

I'm worrying that yusing SDCARD for cache will burn rapidely the SDCard

Hello

I connected external USB HDD containing all my music. I installed LMS on
picoreplayer (Pi 2)
I mount this HDD :  /dev/sda1 vfat 5855-1C4F 465 GB

In LMS config, I can delcare this hdd for the music, it works fine. On
SSH, everything is OK

but when I click to move the LMS data cache to USB-HDD
(/mnt/hdd/slimserver), I got the following error message:

I don't understand why I cannot do that...

I reboot multiple times. I defined SSID+Password correctly.

IP over wifi does not come up

The wifi dongle seems correctly installed. it detects the Wifi MAC

i installed a fresh 3.01 PP on SDcard on my Pi2.
I installed then LMS
I want to mount my music drive via NFS from my synology. I understand
I've to install first extra filesystems by using "Install and Enable
additional FileSystems"

I have the following:

[ INFO ] NTFS Support Loaded...

And it's not possible to add a NFS mount ?

Any idea ?

Another question: I also could use USB HDD, how is it possible to make
it shared on network to push on it new music files ?

I've picoreplayer + USB DAC (PCM2704). I want to know if I shall use a
specific parameter to use at the maximum DAC capacity ?

I read alot about 96Khz sampling etc...

I'm listing to FLAC and 320Kbps MP3.

Is the DAC converting automatically to best quality ?
Is there a parameter to upscale the source ? if this is useful ?

Thanks for the image and concept. good idea !

I tested the last 0.9. Wifi perfectly works.

Sound outputs via 3.5mm jack or HDMI work also

But impossible to have a sound without noise and distorsion via my USB
DAC (PCM2704 based). I tried -a 800:4, -o front:CARD=DAC,DEV=0 as
proposed by the setup tool, try to apply of course the change etc...

Is it also possible to configure the keyboard via the small setup tool ?
My keyboard is AZERTY and not QWERTY

Squeezebox.Running fine with Synology as main server (LMS)

I'm looking how to play automatically a radio station (or one of my
favorite) just after the boot.

Squeezelite is started automatically, but the music/radio is not
launched automatically ?

IS there a specifis parameter to use on squeezelite to play radio
directly ?
