*Position :* PeopleSoft System Administrator
*Location:* Southfield, MI
*Duration :* 6+ months


The responsibility of this position is for implementing, documenting,
maintaining, and supporting the technical environment required by Oracle
ERP applications (PeopleSoft) with a focus on PeopleSoft.  Individuals in
this position work at a technical level with an understanding of Oracle
PeopleSoft Financials and HCM modules, its underlying database, operating
system, and hardware platform. Incumbents interact with the development
teams, configuration teams, various technical teams, and business
stakeholders to optimize and maintain the overall system reliability,
availability, and performance.

*Responsibilities:*

· Implement and maintain the multiple Oracle PeopleSoft instances
that comprise the Oracle environment (development, test, training and
production).

· Introduce technical changes into the environment using a
structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability,
availability and performance of each Oracle ERP instance.

· Experience as a PeopleSoft Administrator, with version 8.x or 9.x
experience.

· Experience installing and configuring PeopleSoft environments
(Internet Architecture, WebLogic, Tuxedo, and application / batch servers).

· Experience with majority of PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM, ELM, and EPM
modules.

· High-level skills in PeopleTools (v8.45 and higher) and with
Integration Broker set-up experience.

· Apply Oracle ERP maintenance patches and fixes through all
systems using a structured methodology.

· Experience with PeopleSoft Security and applying patches and
fixes.

· Develop and maintain system documentation for all Oracle ERP
instances and interfaces.

· Participate in the implementation of Oracle ERP system upgrades
and installations.

· Participate in the migration of Oracle ERP system to Secure-24
datacenters.

· Provide status reports for projects to management.

· Leadership and Team Focus

· Provides recommendations on changes and design enhancements to
improve reliability, security, processes, and performance.

*Qualifications:  *

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work
experience.

· 6+ years of Oracle PeopleSoft application work experience.

· Understanding including the ability to monitor, tune and
troubleshoot the database system.• Deep Experience with Oracle Database, MS
SQL.

· Deep Experience with Unix OS, Linux and Windows.

· Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.

· Strong customer focus. Must work well with customers of varying
levels of technical expertise in high-pressure situations and complex
environments.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability
to communicate to various levels of management.

· Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies,
and environments.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Strong desire and ability to quickly learn, become competent in,
and apply new skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

· Must be proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.

· Ability to work on cross-functional teams.

· Ability to work in pressure situations.

· Occasional travel (up to 10%) for training and/or conferences.

*Description:*

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning,
installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Peoplesoft
systems and related infrastructure. This individual participates in
technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within
the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating
systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational
values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.



*PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

   - Install and Configure all PeopleSoft Infrastructure components
   (Weblogic, Tuxedo, Application server, Process Scheduler, PIA)
   - Monitor several web, batch and application servers for the HR and EL
   Online application
   - Applying patches/ bundles using PeopleSoft change assistant
   - Perform application/PeopleTools upgrade using PeopleSoft change
   assistant if necessary
   - Perform code and object migrations between PeopleSoft environments
   using STAT
   - Maintain technical configurations within PeopleSoft Applications
   (e.g., Interface Broker, Messaging, Security Integration)
   - Assist with troubleshooting of system and program issues involving
   technical configurations
   - Communicate and collaborate with Systems Engineers (e.g., Operating
   System, Network, Storage)



*OPERATIONS AND SUPPORT*

   - Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and
   availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes,
   reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of
   scheduled jobs such as backups
   - Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
   - Monitor several web, batch and application servers for the HCM and
   Financial application
   - Respond immediately off hours to system failure
   - Update and maintain all system administration documentation as needed
   - Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
   - Coordinate and communicate with Functional Team, Technical team and
   End-Users



*QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE*

   - 5 -10 years’ experience working with Oracle *PeopleSoft* Public Sector
   Financials and HCM
   - Senior level *PeopleSoft* technical knowledge, skills, and experience
   as an Administrator
   - Ability to handle difficult customer service issues
   - Must have experience in application support and of *PeopleSoft*HRMS9.1 and
   *PeopleTools* 8.5x Product solutions
   - Proficiency at writing SQL queries
   - Proficiency at writing Shell Scripts
   - Understand the *PeopleSoft* security concepts
   - Required Experience serving as *PeopleSoft* System Administrator with
   HCM 9.1 Upgrade
   - Ability to advise and assist less experienced staff in technical
   matters courteously
   - Capable at resolving the most difficult programming and systems
   problems
   - Able to quickly learn and understand the operations, goals and
   business needs of the customers/departments
   - Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
   customers and vendors
   - Provide effective recommendations to department management regarding
   the best balance of internal vs. external resources
   - Ability to understand and recommend solutions to complex technical
   issues
   - Ability to write users and technical documentation for computer systems
   - Ability to generate reports from multiple systems/databases
   - Ability to create and validate test plans for systems
   - Ability to accurately estimate the time necessary to complete a
   project or assignment
   - Ability to effectively coach and provide knowledge transfer to others
