Re: OpenBase - WAS: Re: Filemaker through ODBC
True, I should have clarified. FMP pushes it through your OS mail client, the mail.it plugin (among others) will email from within FMP (the mail.it plugin is excellent btw). Cheers, Luis. I'll admit I haven't used it much, but found performance much better that FMP. I have seen a very impressive POS made with it, can't recall the name. Nice thing I noticed was that some functions are available as standard, whereas they're plugins in FMP (like integrated email for instance, although basic). Cheers, Luis. Not quite true. FileMaker has built in scriptable email generation that sends message through your mail client application. For a broader range of features such as multiple attachments you do need a plugin. ___ use-revolution mailing list use-revolution@lists.runrev.com Please visit this url to subscribe, unsubscribe and manage your subscription preferences: http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution ___ use-revolution mailing list use-revolution@lists.runrev.com Please visit this url to subscribe, unsubscribe and manage your subscription preferences: http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution

Re: openbase connectivity?
Rick Wylie wrote: Is there a database connection tool for Openbase? There isn't yet, but Chipp and I had the good fortune of speaking with OpenBase's CTO, Scott Keith, at WWDC last month. Mr. Keith was very intrigued by Rev's flexibility, and definitely recognizes the opportunity it represents as an onmi-platform GUI toolkit for OpenBase customers. He said that they can't devote the resources to writing a Rev API themselves he'd happily provide technical assistance to anyone who wanted to take that up. If one of you wants to write an external to interface with OpenBase please contact me offlist and I'll provide introductions. -- Richard Gaskin Fourth World Media Corporation ___ [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.FourthWorld.com ___ use-revolution mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-revolution
