Yes, table is correct.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VFS-368 is still waiting (about
default userDirIsRoot)
And it would be usefull to give URI exmaples not only for files but for
directories too.

Incorrect, the fix is in SVN.


 And it would be usefull to give URI exmaples not only for files but for

Please feel free to provide a patch and attach it to the ticket or a new
ticket.
