I don't know if now I understand better JMS and Geronimo itself, but
appear to me the JMS chapter are too much clear by now...
Good job done, guys... I'm anxious to get printed one at my hands (I
love new book smell).

All,

I've pretty much finished updating the existing content in my Geronimo
book to cover version 1.0. The only holdout is the installing
chapter, because I'm waiting for the installer to finalize for 1.0.1.
So the 1.0 chapters are:

About
Acquiring Quick Start
Elements of Geronimo
Database Configuration
JMS Configuration
Security Configuration
Development and Deployment Overview
Web Application WARs
EJB JARs
J2EE Connector RARs
Application EARs

There are a few more left to go -- I'm going to be returning to
putting out the new content now that the 1.0 update is done. If
there's anything you'd particularly like to see, please let me know.

Thanks,
  Aaron

Online Book Update

2006-01-08 Thread Aaron Mulder
All,

I've updated a little over half the existing content of my book to
reflect the 1.0 release:

 - About Geronimo
 - Acquiring Quick Start
 - Elements of Geronimo
 - Database configuration
 - Security configuration
 - Development deployment overview
 - Web Application WARs

You are of course welcome to read and refer to the book, and any
feedback you have on the content in there would be great. :)

The rest of the completed chapters are still at M4:

 - Installing Geronimo
 - JMS Configuration
 - EJBs
 - J2EE Connectors
 - EARs

I'll be working through those over the next couple weeks, and I'll
send another note as I wrap them up. And, of course, the remaining
chapters that are not present or completed at all. :)

Thanks enjoy,
Aaron
