Re: infra report for the president

2013-11-26 Thread Jacques Le Roux
Hi Carsten,

See the subject "Confluence access to OFBiz open wiki" on user ML for details

Only Confluence is concerned. It's due to spam and a radical move from infra
team.
It happened on all projects. Only committers following proper lists were warned
AFAIK.
See "infra report for the president" thread for more details

Re: infra report for the president

2013-11-26 Thread Carsten Schinzer
I see this message on the CWIKI Profile page:

You cannot change your Profile, this is disabled.
If you need to change anything contact the ASF Infrastructure Team.

... trying to get this thread track back to fixing the issue instead of
proposing lengthy migration visions ... I am not saying don't move, but we
need to fix this ASAP to keep the project going.

Jacques, what exactly did the infra team communicate? Is this to do with
the Confluence update? Has anyone been warned that this would occur? Is
this happening on all projects?

Fortunately, on the parallel JIRA update there were no similar changes. I
can work normal on JIRA as things look.

Authorative documentation on accounting reports

Hello, I'm looking for the OFBiz documentation regarding
accounting/reports. The only resource I can find is this:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBENDUSER/12.2.6+Reports
which is barely filled in at all.

I have not seen any activity from anyone in the wiki so far. I will do
an evaluation based on my knowledge of NPO accounting, seeing how far I
come being entirely unfamiliar with the OFBiz interface. I will send you
a request for comments when I'm done with my evaluation.

Re: New hot-deploy application

2013-11-26 Thread Paul Piper
Hey Pierre,

first off all: Kudos! SEPA is certainly a hot topic at the moment.

So what in particular did you guys have in mind? In terms of
payment-processes most should already be covered by the ePayment Providers -
including SEPA transaction. So I am a bit curious to see where you are
heading with this? Just adding the entity data to make it a seperate
transaction type? Where does the application come in place?

I assume you are not working on a full hbci+ integration, correct?

Cheers,
Paul

Confluence access to OFBiz open wiki

2013-11-26 Thread Jacques Le Roux
On Tuesday, November 26, 2013 9:40 AM Jacques Le Roux
 wrote:
> Also I'd like to know if we have a mean to know the list of

IIRW I already asked this question and had an anwser, but I can't remember
clearly.
I will look at it later, because anyway to add wiki users you have to use their
wiki usernames and not their email addresses.

So I have created an ofbiz-contributors group and added all committers for now.
The rights allow only to add/edit/export pages, comments and attachments, not
to remove them.
Please Christian could you try it's ok for editing?

Notes:
* An ofbiz-contributor may also export the whole space (we may tweak rights
later).
* Anonymous users can only read.

So it seems we will need to ask people their Confluence usernames to add them
in this list.
I will try to find a better automated way. Infra already answered there are no
tools, I had a quick look and this seems quite uneasy so far.

I will also add a tip for people to ask for edit permission in the header of
the pages of "Apache OFBiz (Open For Business) Wiki"
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Home

I checked that's possible, I hope it will not interfer with any header page
from http://ofbiz.apache.org/documentation.html

Re: infra report for the president

2013-11-26 Thread Jacques Le Roux
Hi Paul,

You know those decisions don't depend on us (OFBiz team) but the ASF as a whole
and mostly the armed wing: infra team!
See Tony's and my answers about Confluence new issue (we need to create a
contributor group and add users there)

BTW I'd be curious to know the number of users who are unable to get registered
to the OFBiz MLs and are stuck to use Nabble.
Please let us know if you cross issues like Paul did (despites my effort
between him and the infra team).

Also I'd like to know who is moderator of the OFBiz MLs (I was briefly in an
old past) and if we have a mean to know the list of all the registered users of
those MLs?

Thanks Tony,

I see, so we need something like an ofbiz-contributors group (we have already

"Apache OFBiz (Open For Business) Wiki", right?

Are there no tools to help?
