You might want to check the following
 - Items included in SalesForecast is not in Inventory already
 - Items included in SalesForecast is not part of approved order

I assume you are checking Requirements section of Order Manager to
 verify your MRP results

I create a new product named 1 with the type of finished good, which has
a BOM of another new product name 10001(raw meterial), then set a facility
for the product 1,10001, but not yet assign any Inventory for them.
then I entry the forecast, run the mrp, and check the result at the MRP Log
page.
I notie that my MRP result with a status id failed, which is pending a
little before.
but I really don't know what's the wrong with my operation.

Thank you again.

It appears your MRP failed for some other reason, did you check if the
logs give more details about the MRP failure

The MRP treats a sales forecast as a sales order; you can enter sales
 forecast from the SFA application.
When you create a sales forecast:
 * enter the organizationPartyId (this should match the ownerPartyId
set in the facility for which you will run the mrp)
 * enter the custom time period (its fromDate will be the date of the
 event in MRP)
 * submit the button to create the forecast header
 * click the forecast details tab to enter products' forecasts:
 * enter productId and quantity for all the products in this sales
 forecast

Hello, I am a newbie to OFBiz. I want to check the pre-order (or forecast)
function of OFBiz,
I did the steps you listed above, then I run the MRP, but I did not get the
pre-order products on the
MRP result list.
I set the custom period id as a Quarter(4/1-7/1).
Would you please tell me a little more detailed info of the forecast and
MRP.
Thank you in advance.
