Yes, I have an OM 5 running on Ubuntu Server 18.04 and it works great but on the v6 it doesn’t work. Let me search the log to figure out if they have the error. Thank you all for your help. Re: Problem Changing Ports
Hello and thanks for your reply. There must not be any other service using the ports because I’m running the OM over a brand new MV. Also for SSL I always did, with older versions, the port changing from 5443 to 443 and 8080 to 80 and all worked. Of course that trigger a warning about the certificate but that doesn’t matter. The thing is I’m not able to change the ports here and I don’t know why. Greetings. Re: Save a calendar Event Using API
Thanks Maxim, I just saw it and I have a doubt, could you let me see the logs of the Jenkins to find the method for the "Calendar Web Service" there? There is a parameter I want to see and the Documentation doesn't says anything about it, it is the "attendees" parameter which not appears on the documentation because I need the full URL to send it on POST with CURL. Anyhow I have tried many methods but not a single one has worked. If you could help with that I will be so thankful. Save a calendar Event Using API
Hello, I want to save a calendar Event using API, but there is a problem, "attendees" field where can I found it? I have read the documentation but nothing appears about that field. I'm using CURL to do this. If anyone has any example of the complete URL will be well received . Greetings, Jibsan

Re: The error at the en of Clustering
Thank you Maxim. I didn’t what you said and it worked perfectly. Just when you copy to other nodes the “persistance.xml” you have to restart the “tomcat3” service and that’s all. You can continue with the next steps of the clustering process. Have a nice weekend. Greetings. Problem Accessing a Room in Cluster
Hello, I have set up a cluster. When I was making the installation configuration, on the first node all was fine, but at the second, at the final step it gave me an error of MySQL, I created the same Administrator user both so I don't know if that was a problem. Thing is I make enter on Both OM instances with the same user and when I tried to enter with the same user or two different users to the same room or to separated rooms, it gives me an error, and just show me a link to the "main page". Please if anyone knows about this issue it will be a great help. Greeting, Jibsan.

Re: Can’t access to remote database from OM installation Interface
Thanks Maxim, I've already found that I had to use "root" user for grant the access to the database. Just a question, at the end of the Networ Configuration for clustering, the last step is disable multicast sudo route -v delete -net 224.0.0.0 netmask 240.0.0.0 If I'm enabling it on the superior steps, now I have to delete it from all nodes? Second question, for FILE SYSTEM I will be using NFS, so I have to install it on all nodes? Thank you, Jibsan. Can’t access to remote database from OM installation Interface
Hello I’m trying to entabláis a connection to a remote database using OM to setup a cluster. The problem is I have created the database and I’ve created a user with something like this: CREATE USER ... “user”@“om_ip” WHERE Also I have changed the bind-address on the “my.conf” on the MySQL directory from “127.0.0.0” to “0.0.0.0” to listen from all. When I install the MySQL client on the OM node, I ran: mysql -u user -h “ip” -p Maybe I missed something on the code above. But it successfully make the connection. Now when I try to use that user, host_ip and password on the OM installation interface it gives me an error which said in a few words “Can’t establish(maybe is the wrong word) the connection with Host. Attempted 3 times without succeed” Please if someone cans help me to solve this. Sorry for typos, from mobile. Greetings, Jibsan
Problem Accessing to Remote Database
*Hello Maxim and the rest of the comunity. I have a problem, I'm trying to set up a cluster between two OM nodes. I made the installation and I installed MySQL and it worked fine for the first node. On the other hand, the second one when I go to the installation and I chose the MySQL database type, I fill the data:* host ip port (3306) database name (open504) database user (hola) the same of the tutorial PDF just for test it database password (1a2B3c4D) the same of the tutorial PDF just for test it W*hen I click check or next it gives me the next error:* Could not create connection to database server. Attempted reconnect 3 times. Giving up.https://openmeetings.apache.org/MySQLConfig.html";>MySQL *I've changed the time zone at node:* timedatectl set-timezone America/Havana *and at mysq_persistence.xml by adding:* serverTimezone=America/Havana& *Also I have changed the MySQL conf to allow external connections:* nano /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf bind-address= 0.0.0.0 (modified to that value) *And to allow it through the Firewall:* iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 3306 -j ACCEPT ufw allow 3306/tcp *As the tutorial teach, I did this to create DB and DB_User:* CREATE DATABASE open504 DEFAULT CHARACTER SET 'utf8'; GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON open504.* TO 'hola'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY '1a2B3c4D' WITH GRANT OPTION; *And if I try this from an external host it work:* mysql -u hola -h 192.168.14.200 -p *So could you help me with this, I have try everything but it doesn's work yet to me.* *Thank you,* *Jibsan.*
About Clustering
Hello I'm trying to use 3 instances of OM on 3 different VM to put them on Cluster. I was reading at the main site about that but there is something I don't understand. I have to pick an specific IP address for the multicast address or I can just use the one there is on the site: sudo route add -net 224.0.0.0 netmask 240.0.0.0 dev eth0 Should I use that command for all Nodes? Thank you, Jibsan

Problem With Recordings
Hello Maxim, I'm havin some problems with the Recordings. I start recording but when I go to the Recorded Files, they appear with an Damaged icon. I'm using the M4 released on the Official Website two months ago, I have the Kurento version required on the manual, and everything is working ok, I have followed the Steps one by one. My question is: Should I have to use the latest Snapshot ot OM? Where can I download it? Greetings, Jibsan.
RE: How to start OpenMeetings on Startup
Hello Maxhuni, what I did was add some codes to the “tomcat3” file and them I ran some commands on the terminal, them you have to restart the server and that’s it. It worked for me on the M3 version perfectely, anyhow, I’ll let you what I did: Steps: 1) Add next code at the Top of your “tomcat3” file: #!/bin/sh ### BEGIN INIT INFO # Provides: kurento-media-serverd # Required-Start:$remote_fs $network # Required-Stop: $remote_fs # Default-Start: 2 3 4 5 # Default-Stop: 0 1 6 # Short-Description: Kurento Media Server daemon ### END INIT INFO 2) Give permissions to “tomcat3” file: a. chmod +x /etc/init.d/tomcat3 3) Enable “tomcat3” at boot: a. update-rc.d tomcat3 defaults 4) Restart “tomcat3” service: a. /etc/init.d/tomcat3 start I’ll let you attached my “tomcat3” file. For the Kurento file, you should do the same as the previous steps, so: 1) Add next code at the Top of your “kurento-media-server” file: #!/bin/bash ### BEGIN INIT INFO # Provides: kurento-media-serverd # Required-Start:$remote_fs $network # Required-Stop: $remote_fs # Default-Start: 2 3 4 5 # Default-Stop: 0 1 6 # Short-Description: Kurento Media Server daemon ### END INIT INFO 2) Enable “kurento-media-server” at boot: a. update-rc.d kurento-media-server defaults I’ll let you also my configuration file to do that. I hope this can help. Greetings, Jibsan. HASH method still not working
Hello guys. I´m having problems with sending a HASH invitation. I already send invitationd from inside the room and on the email list the invitations are listed. I searched in the Logs and they just tell the email was sent but nothing else. Here I let you what I'm doing with CURL that I already used to create and delete rooms and users and to login from the Linux terminal, everything using Linux. Also I will let you the methods to do that here linked. This is the Original Method: curl --location --request POST ' http://192.168.14.90:5080/openmeetings/services/room/?sid=46820bf8-7a80-4f14-b07d-82225cea1133' \ 'invite= { "email": "ad...@domain.com", "firstname": "Jibsan", "lastname" : "Toirac", "message": "Wellcome to the room", "subject": "Join and enjoy", "roomId": "7", "passwordProtected": "false", "validForm": "2020-09-23 12:33:40", "validTo": "2020-09-25 12:33:40" }' \ 'sendmail=false' Here is the one I'm trying to use because there is no FORMS here, all paramethers are Query: "email": "ad...@domain.com", "firstname": "Jibsan", "lastname" : "Toirac", "message": "Wellcome to the room", "subject": "Join and enjoy", "roomId": "7", "passwordProtected": "false", "validForm": "2020-09-23 12:33:40", "validTo": "2020-09-25 12:33:40" }'&'sendmail=false' Please any help with this will be appreciated. Get a HASH invitation using API
Hello guys. I'm trying to get a HASH invitation using the API of OM. I was reading that there are three parameter to fill on the method, and all of them are @QueryParam. So here is what the Documentation said: @POST @Path("/hash") public ServiceResult <https://openmeetings.apache.org/openmeetings-db/apidocs/org/apache/openmeetings/db/dto/basic/ServiceResult.html?is-external=true> hash(@QueryParam("sid") String <https://docs.oracle.com/en/java/javase/11/docs/api/java.base/java/lang/String.html?is-external=true> sid, @QueryParam("invite") InvitationDTO <https://openmeetings.apache.org/openmeetings-db/apidocs/org/apache/openmeetings/db/dto/room/InvitationDTO.html?is-external=true> invite, @QueryParam("sendmail") boolean sendmail) Method to get invitation hash with given parameters Parameters:sid - - The SID of the User. This SID must be marked as Loggedin invite - - parameters of the invitationsendmail - - flag to determine if email should be sent or notReturns:- serviceResult object with the result And here is what I've done: curl --location --request POST ' http://192.168.14.90:5080/openmeetings/services/room/?sid=1a17f6b4-0476-464e-a7be-3d1bb8006dac' \ --form 'invite= { "email": "u...@test.com", "firstname": "Jonh", "lastname" : "Prime", "message": "Conference with Optimus Prime", "subject": "tests", "roomId": "11", "passwordProtected": "false", "password": "QQQ!!!939393", "valid": "", "validForm": "2020-09-23 12:33:40", "validTo": "2020-09-25 12:33:40" }' \ --form 'sendmail=false' Maybe I should remove the "--form" but I need help with this. Once again, I'm using CURL to do this. Thank you for your time, Jibsan.
Create & Delete using OM API through CURL solved
Hello Maxim and the rest of the community. I finally solved the topic of using the API to create and delete users and rooms using CURL. The problem with the rooms was I had to change this ";" for this "," Here I let you a small file in case someone could need to do the same as me in the future.Anyhow I'll keep in touch to ask for some other things about the API and other methods. Thank you all a lot, Jibsan. Final.md Description: Binary data
Error with API and CURL
Sorry to keep asking, I made a query with CURL to create a new room but it doesn't work. It gives me an error. Here is what I did: curl --location --request POST ' http://192.168.14.98:5080/dialogo/services/room/?sid=da8e90d4-f894-411e-aabd-424502b7c419' \ --form 'room= { "name": "Three", "comment": "Test number three", "type" : { "type": "CONFERENCE"; } "capacity": "100", "allowRecording": "true", "externalId": "Three", "isPublic": "true" }' And this is what the Terminal Throws me: Warning: skip unknown form field: } "capacity":"100", Warning: "allowRecording": "true", "externalId": "Three", "isPublic": Warning: "true" } Any suggestions?
Re: Room service through API REST
Hello Maxim, I'm sorry but it gives me the idea, but still don't knowing how to fill out the remaining "type" field that I need, Irene wrote me this for creating an user with CURL: curl --location --request POST 'http:// 192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user <http://192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user/login?&user=admin&pass=my_password>/?sid=cc8d1754-87c8-459a-adf7-e2a1a80cba9b' \ --form 'user= { "firstname": "Jibsan", "lastname": "Test", "externalId": jibsan", "password":"QQQ999!!!qqq", "login": jibsan, "address" : { "email": "j...@san.cu" } }' \ --form 'confirm=false' And that worked perfectly for me. So I need to do the same but this time with a room, so I did this: curl --location --request POST ' http://192.168.14.98:5080/dialogo/services/room/?sid=493604c7-8576-477d-babc-9bc5d09a188d' \ --form 'room= { "name": "Test", "comment": "Test number one", "type" : { } "capacity": "30", "allowRecording": "true", "externalId": "testroom" }' Just I need to finish the "type" data to use it with CURL. Room service through API REST
Hello there, greetings to all. Please I need help, I want now to create a Room using the same way you sent me which is the one I was looking for, this one for creating an user: curl --location --request POST 'http:// 192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user <http://192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user/login?&user=admin&pass=my_password>/?sid=cc8d1754-87c8-459a-adf7-e2a1a80cba9b' \ --form 'user= { "firstname": "Jibsan", "lastname": "Test", "externalId": jibsan", "password":"QQQ999!!!qqq", "login": jibsan, "address" : { "email": "j...@san.cu" } }' \ --form 'confirm=false' Now I want to create a room and I’m using the same to create the room, but I need to fill some data, in this case “type” which is like a form, and “allowRecording” which is a boolean. I’m doing something like this: curl --location --request POST ' http://192.168.14.98:5080/dialogo/services/room/?sid=493604c7-8576-477d-babc-9bc5d09a188d' \ --form 'room= { "name": "Test", "comment": "Test number one", "type" : { } "capacity": "30", "allowRecording": "true", "externalId": "testroom" }' So I want to fill the “type” because I read that it could be Private, Public, Interview, etc. Also if you could provide me with a final help, I need to get the Hash invitation with params using the same way and if you believe that what I'm doing is missing something, please tell me. Thank you, Jibsan.

WOW thank you Irene, it worked perfectely. Thank you a lot. Just a last question, if I'm going to create a Room, it's the same procedure? Greetings, Jibsan. De: "Irene Weber" Para: "OpenMeetings" Enviados: Sábado, 20 de Junio 2020 18:51:21 Asunto: [MASSMAIL]Aw: API via Rest Hello Jibsan, this is an example I used some months ago. I think it worked but maybe with some flaws, not sure. I can't test it now. At least, it might give you a hint on how to proceed. I used Postman. The Service Result message is the sid. You put it in the URL as a parameter. You need to get a fresh sid before you do anything [ http://192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user/login?&user=admin&pass=my_password | http://192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user? ] sid= cc8d1754-87c8-459a-adf7-e2a1a80cba9b To add a user, you do a post request. You provide the user data in the body in JSON format. Key: user. Value, e.g.: { "firstname": "Jibsan", "lastname": "Test", "externalId": jibsan", "password":"QQQ999!!!qqq", "login": jibsan, "address" : { "email": " j...@san.cu" } } I had one more entry in the body: Key: confirm Value: false This is generated by Postman: curl --location --request POST 'http:// [ http://192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user/login?&user=admin&pass=my_password | 192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user ] /?sid=cc8d1754-87c8-459a-adf7-e2a1a80cba9b' \ --form 'user= { "firstname": " Jibsan ", "lastname": "Test", "externalId": jibsan ", "password":"QQQ999!!!qqq", "login": jibsan , "address" : { "email": " j...@san.cu " } }' \ --form 'confirm=false' Deletin a User is simple. You do a DEL request like this: http:// [ http://192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user/login?&user=admin&pass=my_password | 192.168.14.98:5080/openmeetings/services/user/99 ] ?sid=cc8d1754-87c8-459a-adf7-e2a1a80cba9b 99 is the id of the user to be deleted. Re: [MASSMAIL]Re: Problem wih Kurento Media Server
Well now I export the VM from VMware to *.ovf file and I ran it in VirtualBox and the problem was solved, it appears to be problem with the resources on VMware because the HDD loading was extremely high and my PC was blocked several times. Now it is running smooth and without any problem. The problem doesn't show again and for 2 hours it has been working without drop the signal. Now there is a little thing, when I made a recording on the first public room, it take a little to convert it, the VM is running with 4GB RAM and 4 CPU Cores. Thanks brother. I wish to know which are the advantages of that, if it isn't a problem and for the next version the develop team should think on "fix' that. I mean, it is a little mess if you want to delete several users and the list appears like a lot of code instead credentials. Maybe for the next version of OpenMeetings this can be fixed. A bug in OM 5.0.0-M2
Hello I want to share with you this, it might be a bug on the OM 5.0.0-M2 on the .tar.gz file on the official site and in the .iso file too. When you try to delete an user, you have the option "Purge" to completely delete the user but it leave a code on the row where used to be the information about that user on the Users List. This not happen in OM 4.0.0 and when you delete several users, the list start to seems a little "nasty" so I'm happy to share this with you and I hope this can be fixed soon. Greetings to all. Jibsan.

Hello Rene and Stefan, the problem was that when I renamed OpenMeetings folder in the webapps folder in /opt/open502/webapps it used to not work, but that was with Ubuntu Server 17.04; today I made a new installation on a Virtual Machine with Ubuntu Server 18.04 and it seems that the problem was fixed with this new OS. Rene I'm using Ubuntu Server 18.04 and the problem was in Ubuntu Server 17.04, when I renamed the openmeetings folder the Chat service stopped working, it doesn't allow to use the camera and microphone and you couldn't use it to make video conferences.
