No. But you can share a link via the chat box. If I require a YouTube
video, I usually use an online video converter, download the video and then
reupload it to a folder on OM and then drag and drop etc.

Re: Video sharing from a link

2021-09-08 Thread Lee But
@Denis, @Jeffry,

Hello,
youtube-dl works well on Linux to download YT videos to a local directory.
Check the licence before downloading anything from YT. The YouTube Standard
licence does not allow third-party distribution. Look for videos with a
Creative Commons licence.

Hi Lee,

The video was loaded after we stared the session, and even if it was

The third user come in room when is playing

Leave the room, and go in room again. Then
watch correctly the viseo playing.
Can leave room many times and every time
when re-entre in room will watch correctly
the playing video.

No. But you can share a link via the chat box. If I require a YouTube video, I
usually use an online video converter, download the video and then reupload it
to a folder on OM and then drag and drop etc.

Video sharing only by moderator possible?

2014-03-17 Thread df8oe
Hi,

I am using OM 2.2 and I wonder if there is a possibility that only the
moderator can share
audio AND video and other users only can share audio. I want to create a room
where one moderator can be seen by all participiants but due to bandwidth and
usability it is recommended that the others only can share their audio. OK -
they can
switch off video sharing during setup. What I mean is that they don't have the
possibility to activate video at all!

Best regards
Andreas

Re: Video sharing only by moderator possible?

2014-03-17 Thread df8oe
Totally switching off video is not the option I want...

Is code modification complicate? Is it within flash parts or is it within
serverside interpreted
code? I think modification is the only possibility to get this feature...

Best regards
Andreas

I am using OM 2.2 and I wonder if there is a possibility that only the
  moderator can share
audio AND video and other users only can share audio. I want to create a
  room
where one moderator can be seen by all participiants but due to bandwidth
  and
usability it is recommended that the others only can share their audio. OK
  - they can
switch off video sharing during setup. What I mean is that they don't have
  the
possibility to activate video at all!

  Best regards
  Andreas

 BTW:
I think it is an useful feature (e.g. for seminars) that only the
 moderator shares video and
others can tell questions via microphone but not can use video... For
 adding this feature I
think there must be another field in database where it is stored if a user
 can share audio and
video or not... So it may be possible for moderators to disable video OR
 audio seperately for
users, too - and this modification must be in more than one part of the
 code.

Is it possible that this feature may be included in next OM versions?

You make great work! I am looking for this feature in the future.

May be it will be the goal to create an web-interface that roomtypes
with different behaviour can be created by users of OM themself.
There must be only a couple of switches for every feature ao that
roomtypes of every type can be created.
