I have several step by step Struts lessons here:
http://www.learntechnology.net Most are for Struts1 but someone provided
 some Struts2 ones as well.

(Personally, at the moment, I'm a fan of Stripes for new web applications.
It's simplicity and ease of use really appeals to me.)

i'm a new comer to the world of web based system development.

I would like to know should i learn struts (1 or 2) or spring or both of
them and why?

so that i can catch up.

any fare comments would be appreciated.

Re: Validation is called before form is populated from my database

2005-07-19 Thread mah bub
Hi,
As much I know if you need to load data when the page is load before the
validation is called.
You may load data when the action is called and there could be another
action associated with the Submit button's page which will check the
validation.
I'm not sure whether it make you clear or not or solve the problem you
asked for. Let me know if you need more clear explanation about my
procedure.
 Thanks
 Mahbub

canceling a operation after sending to container

2005-03-18 Thread mah bub
Hi,

I'm very new to this web based solution devlopment. I manage to
develop a solution using Struts/SQL Server/XSLT/XML for a retail shop
in our country.

Some of the reports are very highly resource needed and the users some
times pree 2/3 times on the same button to generate the report.

Is there any option to avoid this or is it possible to cancle the old
processing and use the new one like windows/swing based applications
can do.

I would be happy if anyone feel to clearify me about this.

Regards,

Mahbub
