Hi,

When you say Changed , did you alter an existing service offering details or
move a Instance to a service offering?
If you create a new service offering , does the ID show in your Cloud DB and
usage DB?

Thanks

Hey Amir, this should be doable behind the scenes with vCenter. It will
involve live storage migration, then massaging the cloudstack db (volumes
table pool_id and folder references). If snapshots are involved, its a bit
more involved.

The storage pool is marked as unsuitable probably because the storage tag on
the service/disk offering with which the volume was created do not match the
tag on the new primary storage (PrimaryStorage2). You may try updating the tag
on the new primary and see if it addresses the problem.

Disk Total on old Primary Storage is 2.8T and new one is 2T (over

Does the secondary primary storage has enough storage?. I think it showing
warning as not suitable because its volume size may be more(after
applying default thin provisioning factor i.e. multiple by 2) than
destination storage but while doing migration it won't check the storage
capacity(that's bug, its known issue)calculation and initiate the copy
that is the reason you are able to migrate the volume successfully even
though it shows not suitable.

If you get any id which is not removed, update the database

Hi Amir

You can delete the templates present in secondary storage from the database

mysql> delete from template_store_ref where store_id= here>;

Then try to remove the secondary storage

How to add new VLAN range for Guest traffic

2014-12-19 Thread Amir Abbasi
Hello,

VLAN range which I've added in first CS installation (4.4.1) is running low,
is there anyway to add new LAN range for Guest traffic in particular zone?

Thanks

ESXi 5.1 as hypervisor with VMFS filesystem

2014-11-10 Thread Amir Abbasi
Hello,

Is it possibel to install Cloudstack (latest) with that hypervisor?

Can I install CS 4.4.1 with ESXi 5.1 hosts?

2014-11-10 Thread Amir Abbasi
Also I'm using VMFS filesystem as primary storage, NFS for sec storage.

Thanks

How to add a zone (basic model) with IP range in different subnet

2014-10-11 Thread Amir Abbasi
I'm going to install CS on a single server with KVM hypervisor. The additional
IP addresses are in diffrent subnet, I've already implemented this scenario
with KVM/Libvirtd and with routing (Pointopoint in debian) and virtual
machine's networks have been worked without any problem. But with same network
settings, in CS installation when I add the POD (Gateway is the main IP of the
server and Start IP is a piece of that subnet I get the following error:

The start address of the IP range is not in the CIDR subnet

Re: Unable to create a deployment for VM

2014-10-07 Thread Amir Abbasi

Hosts are OK!

I've downgraded the comoute offering from "4*2.4GHZ and 8G RAM" to "2*2.4GHZ
and 4G RAM".

It looks like not enough CPU?

// Hosts's actual total CPU: 38384 and CPU after applying
overprovisioning: 307072

What is the Old and New Service Offering?

Hi Amir,

Can you share some more logs of the management server? It looks like
management server isn't able to connect to the host; but we'll have to look
at rest of the logs to root cause the issue. What hypervisor are you working
with?

Regards,
Devdeep

Hi,

The Network exists but VR machin does not exist, is there anyway to force CS to
recreate VR (when I try to restart networkwith/without Clean Up option it
fails). I'm using CS 3.0. Here the error message in logs:

Hi,

I've already restarted Network of this account (with clean-up option) but
the problem still persists. One more thing, Static Nat is enabled on this IP
address.

Can I check something in VR machine?

How to add Storage tags to current disk offerings

2014-04-27 Thread Amir Abbasi
Hello,

I want to remove older Primary storage, so I should add tags to storages and
then remove old disk offerings. Will that affct attached volumes to VM's?

Re: How to migrate volumes of Virtual routers

2014-04-27 Thread Amir Abbasi
Great, this my first time, so just for confirmation I'll the following
steps:

1- add storage tag to current disk offerings to force craeting new volumes
on new Primary storage from now on
2- enable maintenance mode on old primary storage and it will shutdown all
instances which has volumes on that.

3- move volumes to New primary storage manually
4- restart netword on each account (clean-up is marked) to recreate VR on
new primary storage.

Are they the correct steps?

Add the new primary store.
Enable Maintenance mode on the old primary store.
CS will take care of migrating the VM's running the old store to the new
one.
Once the migrations are complete CS will report the status.
Then remove the old store.

Yes You can use tags to force CS to pick the tagged resources.
