I'd love to use ODF, but the software we're using uses RTF templates, so
that people can use it no matter what office suite they're using.

We cannot change that. The only thing we can change is using another
office suite.

There are too many problems with RTF and lots of bug reports.

I digged a bit deeper and found out that this bug got introduced between
version 4.4.3.2 and 4.4.4.1

Whatever the problems with RTF are, LO should be able to read *its own*
RTF documents. You can't blame Microsoft for that.

[libreoffice-users] Re: 2 supplementary icons in LO 5.0 Writer sidebar?

2015-08-11 Thread r_ouellette
Hum, I'm answering to myself ;-) !

Activating Experimental functions in LibreOffice Options adds the two
icons in the side panel.

To hide the Draft icon I unchecked Experimental functions in advanced
settings and using Advanced settings button I look (search) for
isexperimental. I then give a false value to the DesignDeck.

Re: [libreoffice-users] Paragraph styles in lists

  Hi.
I have had a look in the help but can't see if I can achieve my desired

Is it possible to assign a paragraph style based on the level in a list.
I.e. Level 1 text is regular, level 2 text is italic.
  Thanks, steve

You can do this with a Conditional Paragraph Style. Look up 'single-style
outlining' in the LibreOffice Writers Guide. You would then use the paragraph
styles List 1, List 2, etc. or Numbering 1, Numbering 2 etc. for numbered
lists. You can adapt these or make your own similar paragraph styles. Create a
new paragraph style for example Nested List, make it a conditional style, and
couple the Numbering levels to Numbering 1, Numbering 2, or List 1, List 2, etc.

[libreoffice-users] Shortcut for Recent documents

2015-08-11 Thread Mark Stanton
Does anyone here know why, in version 4.4(.5.2) is the shortcut for
Recent Documents on the File menu U? It always (?) Used to be
R. There doesn't appear to be any clash which would stop it being
R now, not in Writer at least.

Anyone?

It's been U for as long as I've been using LO (and OO before that).

Is this a known bug and is there a solution to it? I can't use LO 5 like

 didn't occur in this version.

Yes, I agree. Nevertheless, RTF is not well supported by LibreOffice. On
any Windows system WordPad is the program to edit PDF.

[libreoffice-users] Issues with Pivot Table in LO 5.0

2015-08-11 Thread Ranjith Kumar

Hi,
I have problems with LO 5.0 Pivot tables.

Once the pivot table is filtered and refreshed after that, the filtering
goes off and the original content without filter is displayed.

Has anyone else has the same problem, or am i missing something in settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Ranjith
