Re: [libreoffice-users] does lo store information in case of crash on linux
Jindam, This a good question that I would like to hear the answer to also. In the meantime, I suggest that sometimes valuable troubleshooting information can be had from the program itself, but it must be started from an XTerm console to read it. In the past, I have discovered file read errors and library problems using this method. Another possibility is to create a script which opens LibreOffice, but redirects console output to a file. Sometimes that works. However, if the program crashes, that may not work either. Good luck, and I hope someone responds with the answer to your question. Re: [libreoffice-users] Mysterious line-spacing
Thank you, Robert. I’ve solved the original problem now. I can see that there could be uses for this distinction, but I was surprised that the default setting was to insert extra space automatically, especially if one hadn’t noticed this setting (which is where I blundered). Unfortunately I can’t upload a screenshot because the document is confidential. Best wishes. Re: [libreoffice-users] Mysterious line-spacing
Hi Séamas, (Strangely, there’s an option within the style definition of “Don’t add space between paragraphs of the same style.” Why there should be an option of *not* doing something so unorthodox is another mystery; however, it also has no effect.) I use exactly this option to document code together with numbering like "001", "002" and grey background. So I (with the same style) spacing when starting the code and endig the code, but not during paragraphs inside the code. Sometimes there appears also a very thin line between the code-numbers. But I don't think this it what you have detected. Could you upload a screenshot somewhere? Re: [libreoffice-users] Mysterious line-spacing
Thank you, Brian and Virgil. Well, if this was a video call you would see a bright red face here, because I’ve just discovered that this problem exists only with one paragraph style, and that style has a little bit of spacing added above (now eliminated). And I only discovered this because of your help, so thank you both again. Re: [libreoffice-users] Mysterious line-spacing
In the paragraph formatting tab for your paragraph styles, check to see if you have any "Spacing" either under "Above paragraph" or "Below paragraph." From what you have described, I would think you would want both of those set to "0". Is this a fault in the program, I wonder, or is there something I can do?
