RE: No include path in which to find xmlmemory.h

2002-04-28 Thread Oded Arbel

In my system (Mandrake 8.2) xml2-config returns only
/usr/include/libxml2. I think this is correct, and all the files that
include libxml headers should include them as
#include libxml/xmlheader.h
*some of the source files already are doing it properly* (!) while some
are not. its the same inconsistency with the mysql includes (which I
complained about in the past).
I think that we should make sure that includes are always consistant the
path were they expect the files to be, and to make that expectation work
on out-of-the-box on the maximum number of setups as possible - my
reconning is that this means we should change all libxml includes to use
the libxml path element.

Patch to fix includes as I suggest is attached

RE: onsuccess

2002-04-28 Thread Oded Arbel

I think that what the man wanted is a method whereby after a successful
HTTP sendsms , smsbox, instead of generating a 202 response with the
text sent. will generate a 302 response which will redirect the
browser to some other URL (for use with an HTML form that submits
directly to Kannel HTTP sendsms).

I think this is a nice feature. any one else would like it implemented ?
( I do requests now ;-)

SMSC- Please Explain

2002-04-28 Thread Patrick Munis

I am new to the world on SMSC and I need to understand
the following about SMSC.

1. What are SMSC? Are there any tutorials to understand it.
2. How can I setup SMSC?
 I am setting up a start-up company,
which provide services to offices, offices that setup schedule for their client
either
for next week or for 6, 12
months from now. I am looking softwares, and also step
to setup the SMSC service for those
offices. Keep in mind that I
really don't know anything regarding SMS service. All I need to understand is
how can i
setup the service so office log
into my web site to send the schedule/reminder to their patients. What do I need to
make it run. What kind of
software do I need to purchase to make it work.
3. Are there any open source smsc?

How do I integrate SMSC with smtp?

2002-04-28 Thread Patrick Munis

How do I integrate an SMSC with smtp server like postfix or
sendmail.?

RE: SMSC- Please Explain

2002-04-28 Thread Mathew Tasalloti

The
SMSC is the telecom switch/server at the carrier's facilites which acts as a
gateway between wireline clients/services and the wireless network devices such
as CDMA and GSMmobiles. Examples of wireline clients include other
SMSC gateways, TNPP gateways and SMS gateways such as Kannel. You should
not have to install your own SMSC unless you are a carrier. What you are
looking for is either to (1) go through public SMS gateway services which
will typically allow you to connect to your mobiles via XML communications or
(2) get an SMS gateway, such as Kannel, installed and connect to the
carrier's SMSC for your communictions. As for open source gateways, you
are already know of one - Kannel.

If all
you want to do is send out reminders, then all of this is overkill for
you. Almost all carriers have a SMTP to SMS interface where you can email
a message to their subscribers via email. All you need to know is your
client's phone number and carrier and you should be able to figure out the rest
with no problems. For outbound-only messaging, this is all you need to do,
no special software or setup.

Hope
that helps,

Depends on your development
environment.For example, if you are
using Java, then look atSun's Java
Mail
documentation.
