How implement tariff class

2003-01-07 Thread francesco
Hi all,

I'm trying to implement a proprietary driver for connecting to Omnitel SMSC.
THe main problem I've found is how to manage tariff classes. It seems not to
be implemented yet in any smsc driver.

That is: how to say to a dirver what tariff class it has to use when delivery
a sms to the smsc?

Could some one tell me if there is some valid example I may use for my task?

Thanks

Hello list,

its me again. I am still searching some information about sending
mms with kannel. Its very urgent for me, so i am asking again.

As far as i unterstand, it is possible to send mms with kannel.
Is that right or is there a misunderstanding on my side?

You can use Kannel as wap gateway for MMS. (This meaning both
push and pull.) But Kannel is not a MMSC.

If i am

right, how can i do this? Is it (like the WAP-push message)
described in XML or do i have to do it in SMIL? What input awaits
kannel? I searched the developer sites of Ericsson and Nokia to
know how a MMS message has to look like but i found just specs
about the transport layer and the protocols etc. Are there any
documents about how to send mms with kannel or can somebody give
me a short summary how he/she has done it?

MMSC send tokenized content to Kannel. There are some example
mms notifications sent to the dev list.

Re: WAP and SAR

2003-01-07 Thread Aarno Syvänen
Using MMS would be a good test, in this case phones are sending lots of
segments.
Use Kannel as a gw for mmsc.

As I understand kannel 1.3.0 should support SAR.
Now I have to prove this, what would be a good test?
Also is there a configuration change to enable SAR or it's always
on.

Also the latest documentation incorectlly states the "force-sar"
option as available in the wapbox config, and also the
"smart-errors" option is written as "smart-errorsr".

poblem: kannel times, please help me!urgent!

2003-01-07 Thread Ivone Uribe

Hi all!

I have detected a problem with the Kannel. I'm using the kannel 1.2.0 and
Redhat 7.2. I'm using the patch kwtls-1.0.3.tar because I use the WTLS.

When I try to access to a wrong url or one that don't exist( in the
cellphone I get this error: Network Error), the kannel try to find this
page for 5 or 10 minutes around, so I can't access to any site in that
range, and I have to wait 10 minits to access to another site. So I want to
know where or how I can change this time, is a lot of time

I check the wapbox, the bearerbox and the patch:

I think that the kannel when not found the url or get an error, try an try
and try for 10 minits, like a thread. I want to change it, when the kannel
found that the url is wrong, it should try twice and no more. how can I do
it?

2003-01-07 Thread Peng Tuck Kwok
First off, send your replies to the list so others can follow the thread.

I don't excatly understand why you would need to install the thread
libraries that you specified in the url. Besides, there is no pthread in
that link, just the pthread clone. You should be able to compile kannel
on the redhat that you are using without much problems. I've tried it on
7.2 & 8.0 with no major issues (except missing the openssl libs,
fortunately that was quickly and easily rectified) .

Hi there.

This is not much help, but I thought to let you know
that I also receive the exact same errors in my log file.

I've done extensive searching on the web as well as emailed this

If you figure it out, please let me know.
