Hi,

Which version of distribution are you using? Since I see you're
installing with rpm packages i suspect CentOS/Suse?
Recent versions of CentOS6 (we are using 6.5) have an up to date
libvirt/kvm package that supports Gluster.

Can you give some info about your configuration?

Vincent

[one-users] disable the deletion of an instance

2014-11-14 Thread vincent

Hi,

On our ONE cloud we deploy images that are part of our "core"
infrastructure
(dns, DB's, Git, ...)and are not volatile at all. Currently these
instances

are viewable between all the other instances that come and go.

Is there a way to disable the deletion of such instances so that it's
not

possible to delete this by "accident".

I was thinking about doing something with ACLs but is there an easier
way?

Hi Javier,

Since cloud-init uses yaml for its config file you need to make sure
indentation/syntax is correct.
You can see this in the cloud-init logfile inside the VM (something like
: can't read yaml blob).

What OS are you using for the VM? When its CentOS/RHEL with Selinux
enabled, you'll probably need to

install a SELinux policy (i needed to in CentOS7).

Vincent

[one-users] hiding vnet

2014-09-10 Thread vincent

Hi,

I'm finalizing our ONE setup and I'm now busy putting all users
in groups so they can only access the things they need access to.

One thing I find a bit strange is that users can see networks they
have no acccess to. As I see it now, each user must know what vnet
has access to before he can make a choice. It would be nice to have
a way to hide networks you can't use anyway.

Or maybe I'm just looking over it.. :-)

I have found the culprit. Following lines are missing in oned.log

INHERIT_DATASTORE_ATTR  = "GLUSTER_HOST"
INHERIT_DATASTORE_ATTR  = "GLUSTER_VOLUME"

After adding them the vm can be created

I'll open a bug.

[one-users] ONE + Gluster : deployment incomplete

2014-06-28 Thread Vincent Van der Kussen
Hi,

I'm currently deploying an Opennebula cloud in combination with Gluster.

I've configured a Gluster volume on 2 nodes (Gluster 3.5.1). I can mount
this on Management host and on the kvm hypervisors (Centos 6.5).

I also create a system datastore and image datastore as mentioned in the
documentation. See the config below.

Everything seems to be working, but not the creation of the vm with the
deployment file.
After some testing I found that the host + port + Gluster volume name are
missing in the deployment file. If I add them manually, the creation of
the vm using virsh works.

I just can't find what is causing this problem. Any pointers?

[one-users] NEED HELP FOR OCCI SERVER

2011-09-27 Thread vincent nguyen
Hi,

Hi,

I had the problem with Occi server in newest Opennebula 2.9.90. Http to port
4567 with the browser Firefox (V.6) always gave me the error " Basic auth
not provided" which was related to authorization_key not received in
Rack:Abstractrequest module. All my VM and occi-server worked fine inside
Opennebula with Sunstone, no error. I use curl with user and password to
test the http to occi server. The http response is 200 OK, that means
occi-server is working, sent back the resource in Compute, Storage or
Network on server terminal.

I researched two weeks to figure it out but in vain.
Could you help me with the right authentication configuration or right
syntax for http accessing to show VM in the browser? It seems to me that
nobody on the internet shows how OCCI shows up VM in the browser.

Thanks very much in advance.
