Re: [RCU] Your session is invalid or expired. // Already checked timezone.

2014-09-29 Thread Sebastian
Hello there,
As promised, here are the steps to reproduce my issue.

Safari > Reset Safari > all Checkboxes on > everything is cleared (Cookies,
Caches)

At this point, there are no sessions in the database, nor are there sessions in
the vHosts session directory.

Now open Roundcube Webinterface over HTTPS in Safari, try to log in with my
imap credentials.

In red text beneath the login boxes “Your session is invalid or expired.”
appears.

The following logs are generated.

http://pastebin.com/bV7vsBgr

Again, I want to stress that this is a new installation, this is my second try
in one year to get past this bug.
The forum seems mostly dead, so you are my only hope.

2014-09-29 Thread Sebastian
This is a fresh installation, never used before.
Even when trying to log in after flushing all local caches / cookies this
happens.
There is no initial successful login.
The Mysql Tables suggest that authentication was successful though.

If I have not conveyed that I'm stuck on the login screen, I hope this is clear
now.

I'll provide session logs / sql logs this evening. (I'm from Germany.)

Yeah. The same thing happens if you leave RC logged in and your laptop
goes into standby therefore not refreshing the session.

Hello,

IMHO it's just because when logged in on Roundcube, you don't Logout
before closing the tab, going on another website, etc…
So your browser try to use the previous session, as you weren't properly
disconnected, but it's expired, and it just tells you that.

Yes, sadly you are correct, it's just happened to me in Firefox...

I've just found the time to checkout 0.9-svn [SVN r6140] trunk and give
it a try.

Initial impressions are that IE9 actually now appears to work! Whereas
before it was almost immediately expiring my session. I'll keep on using
it and let you know if I have any problems.

This question is still open unfortunately, see thread [RCU]RoundCube
session aborting:
http://lists.roundcube.net/pipermail/users/2012-April/008678.html

I've seen in the SQL debug logs that the session gets deleted and then
immediately reinserted but thats too late for the browser which cuts the
session.

The big question is why this delete is happening.

In the thread [RCU]RoundCube session aborting I wrote that too. The issue
only exists when I'm at work, behind a proxy. At home with direct Internet
connection this never happens.

I'd like to know, as you and Thiago, the reason for this and hope this will
be solved soon.

I'm of course willing to help resolve this issue, with testing, logs, etc.

After removing all old cookies I'm getting 'Your Browser does not accept
cookies'
from all my browsers (firefox, IE, Opera; Solaris, Linux, Windows). Even setting
them to accept ALL cookies didnot change this behaviour.

All my browser are of course accepting cookies.

really fast. It's all in my local network.

nothing changed

Really irritating.

Any ideas?

Hi Willi,

I had the same problem and opened up a ticket for it.

It turned out that deleting all cookies related to the webmailer solved
the problem.

I'm not very happy about it as now I have to tell all my customers what
to do...

Does it happen with different browsers? Are you using any proxies? Do
you have fast internet connection or slow? Try to remove browser's
cache. Try with svn-trunk version.
