Maven SynergyScmProvider 1.9.1 : Howto define Database

2014-08-18 Thread Schmidt, Dirk (RZF, SG 471 / MT AG)
Hi,

I have a question about the Maven SynergyScmProvider. I had a look in the
documentation and source code but unfortunately I do not see a way configure
the CM Synergy database (and server) name. I am not sure if I misunderstand the
usage / capabilities and would appreciate your help.

For Synergy 7.1 command clients the database name is required, without it every
maven scm goal fails when opening a session:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal
org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-scm-plugin:1.9.1:status (default-cli) on project
eBilanz_S
hared: Cannot run status command : Exception while executing SCM command.
Commandeline = cmd.exe /X /C "ccm start -nogui
 -m -q -rc -n USER -pw ***"

If I add the "-s" and "-d" option (server plus database name) to the generated
ccm command everything works fine, but I see no way to configure it in the
pom.xml

How is this supposed to work?

Regards

Dirk

maven editor 4 eclipse

2004-05-13 Thread sg
Hi maven friends,

i found a interesting issue and just wish to let you know.
It a kind of improvement suggestion for the ma(e)ven IDE project.

Since I didn't remember the correct syntax of a ant command i was open a build.xml in
eclipse.
Eclipse has a ant editor with syntax checking and code completion.

That brings the idea and i was browsing the code of the eclipse ant editor.
Surprise surprise the ant script syntax is described in a dtd file. So i was just
editing the dtd file and
vola there was a working maven.xml editor with syntax checking and code completion.
That could be useful for pom as well.

Sorry i haven't the time to really create this editor since the dtd is a bit longer
but in case someone
searching for a contribution idea for maven, feel free to create a maven.xml editor by
just editing the
dtd. ;-)

Happy hacking!
Stefan

RE: Statcvs

2004-03-15 Thread sg
Hi,

sorry i have still problems to generate the cvs stats report and was trying to find a
solution the whole
weekend.
As Marcin suggested i add a fake url as web repository to my pom.
How ever i get still the same error.
I'm confused since there is a statcvs 1.0 statcvs 2.0 and a statcvs-xml plugin in the
web.
All of them have different options.
In my plugin folder i have "maven-statcvs-plugin-2.0" but the error message said
something with
"statcvs-xml-0.9.0.jar"

The documentation of the maven statcvs plugin said there are no properties the page of
the statcvs-
xml has some properties and require a statcvs.xml config file in the project root.

Has someone statcvs running? Which version and what i need to setup to get it running?

Thanks a lot for any hints.

pmd report

2004-03-12 Thread sg
Hi,

sorry i'm new to the pmd plugin. I was reading the plugin documentation and it least i
understand that i
only have to add the pmd plugin to my reports.

I got no errors until site:generate but the report is empty. So there are 0 files
analyzed.
Can someone give me a hint or point me to a documentation i miss to find how to setup
pmd report?

Thanks!

RE: jcoverage depends on clover?

2004-03-11 Thread sg

No, what is dashboard? ;)

But i found some more strange things in my log:

jcoverage 1.0.5 copyright (c)2003 jcoverage ltd. http://jcoverage.com/
jcoverage is licensed under the GNU General Public License
jcoverage comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY
instrumenting 165 classes to
/Applications/eclipse3M7/workspace/hmc.transaction/target/jcoverage/
classes
[instrument] CLASSPATH component
/Users/joa/.maven/repository/clover/jars/clover-1.2.jar:
java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file

Why jcoverage tries to instrument clover-1.2.jar ???

Well what should i say: ;)

jerry:/Applications/eclipse3M7/workspace/hmc.transaction joa$ maven
jcoverage:html-report
 __ __
| \/ |__ _Apache__ ___
| |\/| / _` \ V / -_) ' \ ~ intelligent projects ~

Attempting to download clover-1.2.jar.
...^Cjerry:/Applications/eclipse3M7/workspace/hmc.transaction
 joa$
jerry:/Applications/eclipse3M7/workspace/hmc.transaction joa$

May be you try it by your own!

Stefan

P.S: Any news about the io bug? Is there a workaround?

Thanks!!!

Re: MAVEN depends on clover?

2004-03-11 Thread sg
AHH.

Sorry your are right. Looks like maven in general depends on clover:
jerry:/Applications/eclipse3M7/workspace/hmc.transaction joa$ maven jar
 __ __
| \/ |__ _Apache__ ___
| |\/| / _` \ V / -_) ' \ ~ intelligent projects ~
|_|  |_\__,_|\_/\___|_||_|  v. 1.0-rc1-SNAPSHOT

Attempting to download clover-1.2.jar.
.^Cjerry:/Applications/eclipse3M7/workspace/hmc.transaction joa$

Strange that a ASF tool require a commercial tool. ;-o
Anyway i don't care but may be it is good to know for the maven developer.

reactor or multiproject

2004-03-11 Thread sg
Hi,

well i really like maven very much but the documentation is a pain.
A lot of colleagues still prefer Ant since there is a central and clear documentation.
There is really enough maven documentation but it is not clear organized and very
difficult to find the
right information. Some part of the documentation are in conflict with each other.
I think for example hibernate success based on a very smart documentation. Again it is
just about
organization the available information.
I would wish i had the time to help solving this issue but you know the real
developer world.
However i just wished to give this 2 cents, since it is the only problem i see with
maven. ;)

Sorry I'm nervous since i try to solve since 2 days my simple problem with project
dependencies.

I have 2 projects (model and view) on the same folder level. (Eclipse)
One project depend on the other project so i wish to build the model project before
the view project.

I had setuped a own goal "buildAll" by using reactor in my view project. Now i wish to
install the
buildAll goal als preGoal so that it is triggered any time i run a test jar or
site:generate.
I was trying init, artifact:load or java:compile but it does not run my "buildALL"
goal.

Is there any standard goal that is invoked as first and every-time any goal is invoked?
Does the multi-project solve such dependency builds? I only found some documentation
about using
multi-project in parallel project scenarios.

Thanks for any hints!
Stefan

Hi,
sounds very interesting i would be interesting as well.
Would you publish it as open source? May be an official Maven plugin?

Thanks!
