You were clear, I didn't understood your previous response as a promise :-)
That's a very good news for us that this bug is corrected.
This led us to add extra code everywhere a collection is used.
So, really, I love the idea to remove that code using the version 2.

I didn't try 2.0 so I'm not trying to say the bug is still there.

I'll give a try to version 2 but its quite risky for us now as we are ending an

I hope I'll be able to reach at least the case of collection to confirm the bug

Sounds good, Jean-Baptiste.  We have resolved the problem as identified by
the JIRA and the associated testcase.  So, hopefully when you have the
chance to move up to OpenJPA 2.0.x, this particular problem will be resolved
for you.

Just as an FYI...  We have been very conscientious about testing JPA 1.0
applications with our JPA 2.0 runtime. There have been a couple of minor
items as we attempt to merge OpenJPA 1.x features into the JPA 2.0

issue tracker.

This bug make PersistentCollection not working with Eager settings.
The only workaround is to rely on that evil lazy loading so you have to call a 
getter for an extra unuseful call to the DB just for that.

Who is Ted Leung ? What could we do to make that bug corrected ?

Hi Jean-Baptiste,
It was just pointed out to me that OPENJPA-1020 was resolved in trunk back
on Jan 04, 2010 by Fay Wang.  I missed that commit message on the JIRA.  So,
this problem has been resolved in trunk and should be part of both the
2.0.0-beta and 2.0.0-beta2.

Are you indicating that this problem still exists for you on trunk (beta or
beta-2)?  If so, then we should document that in the JIRA.
