[AOO-Templates] - site thumbnail examples much too small to see

2016-11-24 Thread gMail
Hi
just started using OpenOffice, and I really like it, BUT… it’s impossible to
search through your Templates to select one. The thumbnail images used as
examples are far too small, you can only see what the layout is by downloading
and opening it. Very frustrating!

that was all, just a comment. :)

I use an editor written twenty years ago for technical work.
It automatically saves what you're working on every five minutes
in a scratch file so if something goes wrong, you won't loose
your changes. Another feature it has, when a file is changed, it
automatically creates a backup, so even if the scratch file
gets corrupted, the original isn't wiped out. These are simple
things to implement, and with millions of OO users, would save a
lot of people a lot of grief. A feature to protect user files
could be added in less time than has been spent chastising
users for not learning how to do backups.

That sounds like a good editor to use. what's the name of it, and what
OS does it work on?

Probably because that wouldn't help him! Removing the current default
product cannot reset the associations to OpenOffice, which is what he
asked about.

The macintosh based computer Operating System does not work in that way.

You are going to have to throw the program into the trash if you don't want
it

on the computer any longer. Loading or disposing of any program is not

the authors of the programs responsibilities, but that of the user of the
computer.

Always has been unless you are one of those special people who works for

a company that has an IT staff do all of your "maintenance" work.

Good luck, and consider getting a few books on the basics of getting around

the operating system you are using on your computer.

A. Why not just remove Micro$loth Word?

B. Also remove Open Office and use instead the fully functional Libre
Office?

While Douglas Hamilton will come all unglued that some one dares speak
truth to power,, the reality is that OO is a dying application.

Windows 10 has changed the default program to Microsoft Word and I can’t
change it back to Open Office no matter how hard I try.

Try Control Panel --> Defaults Programs

Can you please advise how I can change it back?
