This is called thread hijacking and can really screw up an archive search. Please start a new thread. BTW changing the subject doesn't start a new thread. You have to post a new message. To answer your question, are you sure you downloaded the windows version of OO? If so, it will run on almost any computer you can name, including Dell. It might be wise to run a search on "Open Office" and "Windows 10" to make sure it will run on W10. > > Thank you, > Bernadine > > On 9/28/2015 7:49 AM, elderdanlewis wrote: > >Please reply with a statement of what you have tried that you consider to be > >obvious. > > > >Dan > > > > Original message > >From: Ann <ba...@xs4all.nl> > >Date:09/27/2015 4:15 PM (GMT-05:00) > >To: users@openoffice.apache.org > >Subject: help please with disappeared headings > > > >Hello, > >I've been editing a very long document and am almost done but suddenly > >all of the headings that I was applying from a style sheet jumped way to > >the left so they are nearly out of sight. So tell me, just what authorities do you plan to contact, the internet police? Also, when you contact your attorney, be sure to tell him/her that you provided no information other than a error code that would aid in someone trouble shooting for you, something you seem incapable of, or unwilling to do for yourself. -- Bob Holtzman Giant intergalactic brain-sucking hyperbacteria came to Earth to rape our women and create a race of mindless zombies. I say the last time, because I am uninstalling it and will never use it again! It wasn't that I was lax in saving my work as I go (you have to save every few seconds with OpenOrifice to keep from loosing your work), but when it crashed this time, the recovery program erased the previously saved work and replaced it with a blank document. I'm tired of not knowing what ridiculous function is going to crash the program next and whether or not my project will still be there. Good bye OpenOffice! Did it ever occur to you that thousands (tens of thousands?) of people happily use the program with few if any problems.
