Cut and Paste doesn't work!
The subject says it all ! Nor Can I move text. The 'Help' routine tells me how. But nothing happens ! HELP PLEASE !
CAN'T MOVE ANY PARAGRAPH !!!
FOR BRIAN BARKER Dear Brian, You've helped me before, and I ask for help again. Same problem ! I can't move a paragraph or even a sentence or two to somewhere else in the same document. As before, I use the CNTL and Shift X and hi-light the paragraph, which works. But then when trying to move the paragraph to another location in the same document, using the courser to ID the new location, then using CNTL C or V, or anything, it doesn't work! The paragraph does not get moved. It stays where it was. Before, when you helped, it had something to do with the Toolbar. Don't remember what it was. But I will say that the CNTL C or V in the Toolbar isn't hi-lighted and doesn't work. What am I doing wrong, or not doing ??? Please help ! Edward Eckhard
BOLD LINES
WILL SOMEONE HELP ? As I am keying into my narrative file, I am getting thin, solid, bold lines running left to right across the entire page. Underneath the line is a second even thinner solid, bold line and repeats itself every time I hit the ENTER key. But underneath these solid bold lines I can continue entering data on the next blank line. They don't hurt anything, but I do want to get rid of them and know what causes them. Can someone help?

OpenOffice installation 4.1.5
HELP ! My previous version of OpenOffice 4.1.3 somehow became corrupted and am trying to install version 4.1.5. Have no trouble going thru the various steps, installation for anyone using this computer, "typical" setup type, etc. Then I come to "click INSTALL to begin installation". I do so and nothing happens. I wait an hour or more for the installation to begin -- nothing. Always get a message that Wizard installation was interrupted before installation completed. Repeated attempts yield same. Willing to go back to version 4.1.3 were it available. But may as well stay with the most recent version if I can just get past this hangup. What am I doing wrong ? Need to print ONLY selected pages
Help! Need some advise. I often print out narrative files I create and have no trouble. However, I have a twenty-one page document, but only want to print selected pages. Can't get to work! For example, I only want to print pages one and two, but later will want to print pages three thru five, later pages six thru 8, etc. How can I print selected pages? I know I can do it, but I'm doing something wrong. Edward

Double pages
I have a simple two page narrative file that when on my screen shows these two pages, side by side, on my screen, rather than page one followed by page two at the bottom of page one. How can I correct this??? Edward

Page Numbering
Hello out there to all Users. I'm trying to number hardcopy pages in my OpenOffice documents. The HELP Routine in OpenOffice tells me to use EDIT and FIELD to do it. However, I cannot select the FIELD Option from EDIT ! What to do ?? Anyone ?? Edward

EXPORTING NARRATIVE FILES
I can no longer Export simple updated PDF files to a flash drive. Have always used the "Export" Option from "File", but it's not working now. Then tried the "Export as PDF" Option and it does not work either. Don't see any real difference with either option and the HELP routine is not helpful. The simple "Export" Option has exported just fine for two years, until recently. I must have inadvertently done something to prevent exporting. BUT WHAT ? Your input will be helpful. Thank you. Mysterious bar of arrows
TO ALL THE USERS WHO HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL IN THE PAST : Trying to create another of my many simple narrative files with some difficulty. I select "Text Document" from the OpenOffice TM4 page which normally brings me to a blank page where I select my font size, print style, left justified paragraphs, etc. This time it presented with a three inch bar of multicolored arrows going left to right across the screen. To the left of the bar is a small box called "New Themes" and offers several options options such as arrows, backgrounds, bullets, finance, etc. Arrow is hilighted in blue. HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS BAR ?? Any suggestions you can offer ? Thank you.

Restore lost OO file
I accidentally deleted a narrative file, created in OO and backed up to my flashdrive. Is there a way to copy that file from my flashdrive back into my documents file so I can modify it using OO?? Thanks. Edward

Lost Partial File
Was copying a part of a file to a file with another name. Obviously I did it wrong and lost that partial file of about six pages. Is it ANYWHERE in OO to be recovered?? If yes, how to recover it ?? Edward
