Question about adding an OpenOffice Calendar

2019-05-28 Thread Michael Dudley
I am an OpenOffice user and I love this product. I just have one basic
question for Apache:

Does OpenOffice have a calendar like Microsoft Outlook? If not, are there
plans to create a calendar for the suite?

Thank You
Michael

There is nothing to download because there aren't any published
releases. And indeed the comments say that the person who had
contributed this extension is not maintaining it any longer.

The green rectangular button marked “Download” that’s beside the description of

I can click on it, but nothing happens.

This link at the bottom of the page returns the error: “server not found”

Seems this is an extension on the AOO extension site; whilst the
download button doesn't work, there is a link at the bottom of the page
if the questioner cares to scroll down a bit.

Simon:
Note that it helps us help you if you provide just a little detail about
what your problem really is.

Indeed not.

Apache are not, I think, responsible for the accuracy of templates
uploaded by others. This template seems to be derived from those of
Calendarlabs.com - though it is not clear to me who created the ODF version.

You may want instead to obtain something from
http://www.calendarlabs.com/2017-calendar-templates directly - though
these are documents, not templates, in Microsoft Word format. And you
may want to report what you found to Calendarlabs.com at
http://www.calendarlabs.com/contact.php .

I trust this helps.

OK, I found that the source is from Word Templates Online
which is a MS Office template site.

This website doesn't have contact information.
It looks that someone downloaded the template and saved it as a
OpenOffice template without checking if it is correct.
Interesting is that the template has an average rating of five stars,
but only one person has voted for it.

Not a reliable statistic.

You have not made life easy (there are over forty 2016 calendar
templates available), but with some effort I have identified
http://templates.openoffice.org/de/template/2016-calendar-0 - and
yes, you are right that it is incorrect. The calendar is for a common
year starting on Thursday, whereas 2016 is actually a leap year
starting on Friday. This and the incorrect date given for Easter show
that this is simply a 2015 calendar relabelled as 2016. The author
must have a strange idea of how calendars work!

what do you think ?

I don't see any way to contact "Wise Mode" directly. You may want to

Dave, Don't try and reinvent the wheel ;)
Take an existing template say:

and adapt it to your own requirements.
