It's because I didn't know the [non-existent] instructions for the installation. The first time I dragged the app from the dmg to the applications folder - thereby bypassing the screen that asked if i wanted to migrate. Started over and ran the installation process, did the migration, and then moved it to applications. It still didn't migrate my recent documents history, but that's a minor issue. -- j...@jt-mj.net http://jt-mj.net Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway. - Andrew S. All these is registered on the xml's of the suite, not only on the filesystem. This means that just because there is a ott on the ~/.openoffice/3/...templates/ folder, doesnt mean is registered by the software. I am a bit surprised the settings werent migrate during the installation however. On 8/17/13, Julian Thomas wrote: > Just downloaded and installed this. OpenOffice/StarOffice Apache OO4 for OSX
Just downloaded and installed this. All my history is gone (I can live with this) but, more important, all my templates are gone. How do I get them back? I went into my library and under open office, copied the '3' directory [which still had all my stuff] as '4' but no joy. -- Sent from my iMac Julian Thomas j...@jt-mj.net http://jt-mj.net - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org
