RE: [users] Document as Email Problem

2006-04-17 Thread Craig Stevens
Hello all,

Regaring my issue that i have with OOo and Outlook which continues to present
the Choose Profile dialog box when sending a document as an email directly from
OOo. I have found although i dont know the reason for it, that Outlook 2003
solves this issue, even with the SMTP setup we currently have. Please read
below for the background on this issue. Knowing that outlook 2003 will solve
this small but annoying issue means we will look further to OOo to replace all
Office setups.

Cheers
Craig

Yes Steven, i tried OOo with outlook 2000 at home with a POP configuration and
your right, it does not occur, so i have done the following so far without any
luck to date.

Upgraded outlook 2000 with SR-1 and SP2 - no luck,

Removed outlook 2000 and installed outlook XP (2002) - again no luck

I will install outlook 2003 and see if this works.

We are currently exchange 2000 but i believe we are moving to 2003 (rumour
maybe)

Thanks
Craig

I don't get this with Outlook 2003. However I'm setup to get my mail via a
POP server, I think if you're using Exchange or if Outlook is incorrectly
configured it might do this.

What version of Outlook are you using?

Thanks for the suggest Paul, but the Admin guy is confident its not a
config with outlook, he suggests registry setting and that outlook has a
bug which wont set the default hence the form re-appears. I don't know,
its easy for someone to speculate but I would prefer something more
tangible to an answer. If any thoughts still happy to hear them.

I had similar issue when I was working for another company, but with the
existing company I don't have that issue. Both companies were using
Outlook, and I used OOo with both. It probably has something to do with
the way Outlook (from an admin) perspective is configured.

Sorry couldn't be of more assistance.

[users] Document as Email Problem

2006-03-29 Thread Craig Stevens
Hi all,

In OOo i send a document as an email and the "Choose Profile" dialog box
always appears, i select OPTIONS and SET AS DEFAULT PROFILE but each time i
send a new document as an email the dialog box re-appears wihtout the SET
DEFAULT PROFILE checked. I am using OOo 2.0 and Outlook 2000 with SR-1, SP2,
SP3 installed on Windows XP. My issue is i cant determine if this is a problem
with OOo or the outlook mail settings. Has anyone experienced this issue and
have solution to it?

Craig
