  For 3.3 you have share/ovirt-engine/bin/engine-backup.sh
for usage please run it with --help
You may do it without stopping the engine

Re: [Users] engine reports and dwh setup in 3.3.2

2013-12-24 Thread Gianluca Cecchi
Hello,
as my past data are not important, is there at least any way to start
from scratch with Dwh and Reports, reinitializing my current
situation?
Is it as simple as drop the two databases
ovirtenginereports
and
ovirt_engine_history
or are there any other steps to perform?

Thanks in advance,
Gianluca

[Users] PPC64 Updates

2013-12-24 Thread Leonardo Bianconi
Hi Sandro!

Im writing this e-mail to update the PPC64 status, because we don't work on
Christmas, so we will not be in the meeting tomorrow.

We have updated the spreadsheet. Three features that were in design are under
review now. No new features done.
We have some patches merged and we are planning to start tests in January with
the master revision.

Best regards
Leonardo Bianconi.

Hi all,
since no objections raised we'll meet again on January 8, 2014.

Wishing the oVirt project, its users and developers a year of growth and
prosperity.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

afaik, Centos uses the same compile options as RHEL which means it will *not*
include live snapshot capability.
Up until recently dreyou indeed provided qemu-kvm-rhev, but I believe that this
is no longer compiled.

We're still working to find an easy, maintainable way to fill the gap and this
should be resolved sometime soon.
In the interim you can either compile it yourself or if you have the package
from other sources, use that.

We're looking into including a qemu-kvm package that has the capabilities
compiled in, in the oVirt el6 repository indeed.
The alternative would be to have it shipped with el6 proper as it was up until
now.

Hi,
We have found a few blockers on the setup of dwh and reports.
We hope to resolve the issues in the next few days. If you restore your
environment using the backups, you will be able to upgrade.
I've put a note to let you know when new packages are available.
