Sorry, one more clarifying question:
Were you able to successfully install Lightning 1.0b2 (any edition) on
Thunderbird 3.0?

I was somehow under the impression that b2 requires Thunderbird 3.1?

Thanks, Domique - this really brings relief to my situation.
Downgrading Thunderbird from 3.1 to 3.0 should not be a major problem,
that worked already successfully for me.

Thanks, Mark. I would like to clarify one issue, though:

Do you connect to your SOGo server via plain http or SSL-encrypted https?

I vaguely recall that there was an issue with https, but I am unable to
remember where I found this information. :-(

[SOGo] Can't login into webinterface

2010-09-08 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi all

I still have problems logging into the webinterface:

Whenever i try to login i got an error message "wrong user or password":

The sogo log file shows:
2010-09-09 00:45:09.256 sogod[18905] Scanner initialised with nil string
Sep 09 00:45:09 sogod: SOGo watchdog [18905]: SOGoRootPage Login for

403 34/38 0.008 - - 0

I tried to logon to the ldap server via phpldapadmin using the user
"sogo" credential and it worked.

I set "passwordPolicy NO" in my GNUstepDefaults. Has anyone an idea,
what's wrong ?

If it is helpful i can also post the complete GNUstepDefaults file.

Re: [SOGo] Re: TB 3.1+Lightning 1.0b2 (Inverse Nightly)+CalDAV via https: Calendars disappear

2010-09-08 Thread Martin Lehmann
Hm, I didn't have the problems with disappearing events. That worked
always good also with TB3.0 and 3.1

But as mentioned I had to play a little bit to get Google calendar
working. It's some time ago but if I remember right the solution was to
create a new profile or remove the cache.sqlite. Try this out.

And ENABLE caching for Google calendar. That's very important!

Your other question was how to enable google calendar with caldav: for
details use google's search. There you can find good descriptions.

For the main calendar you can use this URL:
https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/youracco...@googlemail.com/events

No luck with the Google Calendars: Setup went well, but no data is

The problems exists if you use the SOGo-Connector plugin. If you
only use TB3.x and Lightning STD there's no problem.

One way to get it running with TB3.1 is to enable "Caching" for the
Google calendar. I think it's a problem introduced through the SOGo
plugins which seem to require caching of the calendars even of
foreign calendars. As I remember right I had to play a little bit,
delete old profile and restart a few times but than it worked.

Now I'm running TB3.1.3 with Lightning Invers, SOGo Connector and
SOGo Integrator (all from nightlies). Running only SOGo Connector
was to troublesome as it doesn't work good with Lightning STD.

The only problem with this solutions is that the Google calendar is
marked read-only nearly after every reboot and you've to edit
calendar properties if you want to add/change events in it.

Hope that helps.

If using the caldav way, which configuration do you use from the Google

(3.102pre1) : Address Book OK, Google Calendar OK, SOGO Calendar
Events + Task OK. Calendar Events + Tasks do appear in SOGo Web page

Connector (3.102pre1) : Address Book OK, Google Calendar Not OK, SOGO
Calendar Events + Task OK. Calendar Events + Tasks do appear in SOGo

The integrator, adapted as per the user manual, does not change
anything to the calendar issue under any setup.

So basically, and until the SOGo connector is fixed to work correctly
with other extensions in TB 3.1, it's the downgrade route for us.
Welcome back TB 3.0.x

Just make sure it leaves the option to connect to Google Calendars, one

2010-09-08 Thread Dominique
Just to be sure of what I was doing, I tried various combination of TB,
Lightning (Std and Inverse), Sogo Connector and integrator.
Our environment runs both SOGo and Google Calendar, so both have to work
at the same tome, no other options.

Under TB 3.1.x
With Lightning STD (1.02b), Google Data (0.7), Sogo Connector
(3.102pre1) : Address Book OK, Google Calendar OK, SOGO Calendar Events
+ Task disappear after being included through TB and TB Restart.
Calendar Events + Tasks do appear in SOGo Web page
With Lightning Inverse(1.02bpre0..), Google Data (0.7), Sogo Connector
(3.102pre1) : Address Book OK, Google Calendar Not OK, SOGO Calendar
Events + Task disappear after being included through TB and TB Restart.
Calendar Events + Tasks do appear in SOGo Web page

Under TB 3.0.x
With Lightning STD (1.01b), Google Data (0.6b1), Sogo Connector
(3.102pre1) : Address Book OK, Google Calendar OK, SOGO Calendar Events
+ Task OK. Calendar Events + Tasks do appear in SOGo Web page

want the full package you need all 3. As far as I understand it though,
connector does the address books and integrator does the cals (aswell as
adding SOGo add/remove buttons in both and setting server config?) - so
reverse of what your saying.

 Actually no.
I understood that the integrator was not a required piece, but rather an
alternative to the connector. So, one could install one or the other.

Can't comment on google calendar, as I don't use it. Makes sense that

Re: [SOGo] "CLIENT ERROR" and other strange messages in sogo.log

2010-09-08 Thread Wolfgang Sourdeau

What more info can I get for you? a few lines above these errors:

That's a good start but you should enable "SOGoDebugRequests" in your
configuration so that the exact request causing the issue can be traced.
Without this, only the "crashless" requests are displayed.

After that, a few lines just as you did should be enough.

Cheers,

Yes,

Re: [SOGo] Re: TB 3.1+Lightning 1.0b2 (Inverse Nightly)+CalDAV via https: Calendars disappear

2010-09-08 Thread Dominique

Actually, we got it working with TB 3.0.x, and the rest of the
configuration you mention:

- WindowsXP
- Lightning 1.0b2 (standard, not Inverse edition)
- sogo-connector-3.102pre1.xpi

TB version 3.1.x creates the same problem you describe - disappearing
events in calendars.

Downgrading from TB 3.1 to 3.0 does also fixes the problem.
What does the Inverse edition of lightning offers that is not in the
standard edition?

correctly in the Web base version of SOGo.
We decided not to use the Inverse version of Lightning as it does not
allow us to connect to Google calendars at the same time. I am not
sure what we are losing from the standard lightning version.

Then this combination has a chance to work based on your experience:

 Wolf,

We encountered the same problem with a mix setup of TB 3.0.x and TB
3.1.x on WinXP and Win7.
Both use the same nightly build of the SOGo connector with the standard
Lightning for TB.
In TB 3.0.x events created in the calendar stay available after restart,
in TB 3.1.x they disappear. In both cases they appear correctly in the

We decided not to use the Inverse version of Lightning as it does not
allow us to connect to Google calendars at the same time. I am not sure
what we are losing from the standard lightning version.

I believe you should use all new versions from the nightlies for
connector/integrator/lightning when using 3.1

For future ref, It's best to install the below package before installing
sogo, as it then leaves out the mysql connectors you probably don't
need.

[SOGo] TB 3.1+Lightning 1.0b2 (Inverse Nightly)+CalDAV via https: Calendars disappear

2010-09-08 Thread Wolf Siedler
Hi!

I am running SOGo 1.2.2 on CentOS5.
A number of clients use Thunderbird and Lightning. They access the
server via CalDAV and https with a self-created certificate.

Everything used to work fine when the clients were still at Thunderbird
2 and Lightning 0.1 (Inverse Edition). Unfortunately, a number of them
recently upgraded to Thunderbird 3.1 (3.1.2). Which in turn prompted a
Lightning upgrade.

I have advised them to go to the latest Lightning Nightly from Inverse
(lightning-1.0b2.102ipre2 of 08/09/2010), but the odd behaviour continues:

The calendar events are no longer displayed in Lightning. They are
visible in the webinterface, though.

Whenever adding a new event, it is displayed in Lightning for a short
time, but then disappears. At least after the next Thunderbird restart.
Again, the webinterface still displays the newly created events.

I believe to have read about this behaviour, but seem to be unable to
locate the thread.

Can anybody advise what happens here and if there is a way to overcome
the problem?
Would SOGo-Connector/-Integrator installation help in any way? Or a
newer SOGo version on the server?

Many thanks for any advice!

Regards,
Wolf

[SOGo] Problems logging on to SOGo webinterface

2010-09-08 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Dear all

After i had luckily managed to access the webinterface with support from
this list i ran into another problem.

To be honest i am not a LDAP guru, not an expirienced user at all.

When i try to log on to the web interface i got an error message.

When i check the sogo log i got the following error message:

Do you actually get any calendar items displayed though? After the task

RE: [SOGo] AddressBook.app support in SOGo!

2010-09-08 Thread Martin Hofbauer
I was only able to get it running by updating from 1.3.1 ( stable release) to
the nightly build of 1.3.1 from last week.
with the 1.3.1 stable it was NOT working ( see mail from Ludovic Marcotte after
the announcement of 1.3.1 ( Augh 19th):

---snip---

This will be part of the next release, among many other things like :
* Support for multiple IMAP accounts in the Web mail interface
* Return-receipt support in the Web mail interface
* Improved keyboard shortcuts in the Web interface (similar to those we find
in Thunderbird/Lightning)
*  Improved Web alerts
* Improved differentiation of public, private and confidential events in SOGo
and Lightning
* Copy/paste support in the Web calendar views
* Apple Address Book support (through CardDAV) and Apple iPhone 4 support for
address book
* SSL support for IMAP and SMTP
* Email reminders for events and tasks
Most of those features are already implemented and available from the nightly
builds.

[SOGo] Sogo Lightning 100% CPU

2010-09-08 Thread vikt...@gmail.com

 Hi,

Still facing this issue - so I switched from the inverse nightly build
of lightning to the one supplied

with my distro (Fedora 13 64 bit).

I am still getting 100% cpu utilisation whilst the calendar is queried.

The task list starts to fill up and then it disappears.

I am getting these errors in the log:

If I use the inverse nightly build then I get the same symptoms but do
not see the errors in the log. Also when using the Inverse version, the
google provider gets disabled.

Can anyone help with this?

TIA

Re: [SOGo] How does the Domain Separation/Multidomain configuration work?

2010-09-08 Thread Thomas Brandstetter
Hi Mark,

thx for your help. I changed my settings according to your emails, but I had no
luck. Now there is no redirecting anymore between the two domains, but he
always tries to authenticate against domain.b. To make things clear I created a
user "n...@domain.a" and the same user "n...@domain.b" to check if sogo goes to
the right direction. Right now it is possible to authenticate with the user
"n...@domain.b" on both domains.

Mark, can you post your SOGo and Apache configuration?

Thanks

Cheers

Thomas
