Doesn't matter if SOGo and LDAP are on the same server or not. You must
point SOGo
to the LDAP server either using DNS name or IP address.

Re: [SOGo] Addressbook via LDAP using OpenLDAPs dynamic config backend

2010-10-11 Thread Dennis Petschull
Hi Valentin,

In general you're right. But are you sure that this also holds true for this
special use-case of the sogo-slapd-sockd?
As I understand, the users ldap query triggers the ldap server to ask the
socket, specified in the ldap-directory.
But the socket address is only present on the sogo server (where the
sogo-slapd-sockd command was executed), not on the ldap server itself.
Or am I missing something here??

Cheers,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

For my configuration, I did it in a Co-localized server, but I'm pretty sure
you can do it with two different servers. (If you're not sure, try it :))

[SOGo] SOGo vcalendar Add method

2010-10-11 Thread Alan Bover
Hello, I have been trying to see how SOGo interacts with Horde through e-mail
notifications, and seems it have some issues with vcalendar. When I send a
request from horde to SOGo, from SOGo mail reader I'm able to accept that
request. After that, if I make a change on that event in Horde calendar, SOGo
cannot recognize the format of the vcal file which have been sent from Horde.
Appears that error message in the mail reader:

iMIP 'ADD' requests are not yet supported by SOGo.

But the weird thing is, if I add the same .ics through import, SOGo recognize
it and add it.
My question is, the vcal “add” method is really not implemented in SOGo, or
I miss any step?
If it's really not implemented yet, it's planed in the road map for being
accessible in a close future?

Thanks.

P.D: I post the vcalendar which accept, and the vcal which doesn't accept:
SOGo accept a request:

Oh ... good to know. It's confusing to see it there. But thank you for
information.

I have som more questions, but I don't know where to ask. For example I want to
know, if there is (or will be) user management console for adding, editing and
deleting users. Also alias management console would be great. Or file
management to access files on samba server.

But there is a problem with the rights I think. Now I can look at
all users calendars this way!
How can I restrict tis to just public events!!!??So the user decide it to show
the event.
In the web-gui under calendars there: sharing ->Any Authenticated User and
Public Access. I played around with this rights, but still all of the users
calenders keep showing up, no secret at all.

[SOGo] TB 3.1 and Shared Addressbook

2010-10-11 Thread Ben Luey
 I'm running SOGo 1.3.2 on debian lenny. I upgraded to the TB nightly
extensions about a week ago (to fix the foreign calendar accept/reject
bug). I'm now noticing that my public address book is listed as an
addressbook in the TB addressbooks section, but search never finds any
contacts (typed "." into search list get 0 contacts). Additionally,
auto-complete on emails now does not use any names from that public
addressbook. In TB clicking on properties of that addressbook lists the
url as:

https://server.com/SOGo/dav/username/Contacts/public/

Webmail works fine, as did everything earlier, so I'm guessing this is a
bug in the nightly extensions. In case it is relevant, here's my ldap
config for that shared addressbook:

 SOGoUserSources = (
{
...

 ...
},
{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = cn;
UIDFieldName = uid;
baseDN = "ou=people,dc=server";
bindDN = "cn=sogo,dc=server";
bindPassword = ***;
canAuthenticate = NO;
displayName = "CompanyName";
filter = "(objectClass=groupOfNames or
objectClass=inetOrgPerson)";

hostname = localhost;
id = public;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
}

Thanks,

Ben
