It seems, that the modification on ldap is working, but password
(scheme) missmatches.

I'm using "sha" and "bindasuser" for this SoGoSource.
The passwordpolicy is probably not what i want (!?)

Now i can log into the webui (with new password), but there is now
mail/mailboxes, because IMAP/sieve login failed

Re: [SOGo] Sieve not working

2011-03-01 Thread Anil Thapa

Dear André,

Thanks for your input. Looks like my seive is now functioning well.
However, I am still having one issue. Many of my users are in Squirrel
mail and have filter filter rules setup in squirrel mail. So, when the
user logs in from sogo, all of sudden users defined filter stop working
in squirrel mail. It seems to me sogo takes over the sieve. For quick
resolution of this issue I deactivate all the rules in squirrel mail and
activate again. worked fine.

I read in previous thread it is normal sogo do not import existing
rules. Is there a way to import users existing filter rules into sogo ?

Thanks

With sogo you can (and have to) define your new rules.

Make sure the sieve port matches the one of you server.
Previously Port 2 as used by cyrus and many others was used.
The official IANA port for sieve is 4190...

Perhaps your sieve server also uses this one ?

In dovecot you have to enable managesieve in the configuration,

Where is your sieve server located? At localhost just write

Re: [SOGo] no WebDAV GET support

2011-03-01 Thread Stefan Helms

Hi Anilth,

as far as I understand, there is no solution because it's not a bug...
The link is what it says it is: a CalDAV URL, which your browser simply
can't handle (maybe other browsers or addons can).

DON'T PANIC :)
It doesn't mean that anything in your SOGo installation is broken.

I personally don't care, because the link isn't that prominent and our
users are hardly gonna stumble over it.

Sorry, but the only (airy) hint I could offer is to hack the templates
and remove the link if it *seriously* annoys you and your users.
I'm not sure if it's doable and where you've got to tweak, so please
don't ask me about details.

[SOGo] ZEG - Importing the Appliance in VMWare

2011-03-01 Thread Borislav Radić

Hello,

I am not able to import the appliance to VMware (I tried VMware Player,

Usually I get something like:

Unable to open /data/iso/ZEG-OC-TP6/zeg-oc-tp6.ova as a Virtual Machine:

File "/data/iso/ZEG-OC-TP6/zeg-oc-tp6.ova" line 1: Syntax error.

or with VMware converter:

cannot be deployed on the target hardware.

Also, on Download/ZEG page it is not clear for which VMware product is
procedure:
"From the GUI client of VMWare, click on the /File/ menu and select
/New.../. This will bring up the new virtual machine assistant. Click on
/Continue without disc/."

Anyone has any idea how to convert ZEG Appliance into the VMware?

Thank you in advance!

Just install using the same yum repository you got the SOGo rpms from.

 Hi, Steve

I tried to install all those rpms on CentOS 5.5, but run into
 dependency issue:
 memcached-1.4.2-1.el5 needs libevent-1.1a, and CentOS 5.5 has
 libevent-1.4.13-1 installed.
So I can not install memcached-1.4.2-1.el5.i386.rpm on CentOS 5.5.
Can you let me know which version of CentOS 5 you are using for SOGo
 1.3.5a, or
how do you fix this dependency issue.

 Thanks,
 Allen

[SOGo] LDAP addressbook

2011-03-01 Thread Anil Thapa

Hello all,

This might be very easy. But when I am searching address in LDAP it
always returns 5 entry. for example if I type john in search field,
first it takes sometime and returns with 5 john. But there are about 100
john in my LDAP. Where Can i adjust these and also to make it quicker ?

Thanks

Possibility 1: A setting in your LDAP server - maximum number of entries
returned by a search.

Possibility 2: SOGo:

As user sogo:

defaults write sogod SOGoLDAPQueryLimit 25

to set the number to 25.

[SOGo] Iphone not displaying Calendar

Hi all,

I am not sure if this has been posted earlier and I could not find in
archive. However, I am having issue with my iphone. I can write from
Iphone and that displays into my sogo web interface calendar but strange
enough I could not see all the event on my Iphone. I checked with all
the option in my Iphone.

Iphone supports caldav so it should not be problem reading from sogo

Can anyone share the solution ?

I believe you have use a more recent version of openldap that supports
the ppolicy schema (I think 2.4 minimum). LDAP has to contain the
appropriate attributes and you have to insert the necessary info in the
SOGo config, per the manual. You also have to use a different sope-ldap
package in the inverse repository that supports this functionality.

[SOGo] Thunderbird Calendars Not Loading

2011-03-01 Thread Asai

Hi Guys,

Using TB 3.1 and SOGo 3.104 Connector and Integrator along with
Lightning 1.0b2.104i, with Sogo 3.5 on

Having a real problem here with shared calendars. Basically while I can
see them no problem in the web version of sogo, the calendars I'm
subscribed to in TB don't show up. My user account is a Sogo admin,
we're using MySQL authentication and it seems to work fine. There are
no error messages at all here. Not in the logs, not in the TB error
console. I'm wondering about one thing though. In the Sogo logs I do
see 207 http response codes:

tria - - [01/Mar/2011:16:32:56 GMT] "REPORT
/SOGo/dav/u...@mydomain.org/Calendar/C4A714D4-EBC0-0001-53A2-1B617C301118/
HTTP/1.1" 207 125/245 0.019 - - 0

I'm also seeing this happen a lot of these 404s after I deleted my
account from the database, recreated my TB profile and reinstalled SOGo
plugins:

tria - - [01/Mar/2011:16:37:35 GMT] "REPORT
/SOGo/dav/a...@globalchangemusic.org/Contacts/public/ HTTP/1.1" 404
72/339 0.003 - - 0

Can anyone help me out here? I'm kind of going nuts and frustrated with
SOGo right now. I think it's a great product, but I can't seem to make
it work on TB.

Beware, passwords are stored in cleartext in your sql backend.

Thanks, Pascal, for pointing out this config option. (I need to add the
appropriate LDAP schema before I can try out your other suggestion.)

I turned on the auxiliary accounts and was able to create one, but ended up
hanging sogod's worker thread repeatedly.

Hmm, I wonder if this has anything to do with getting the protocol wrong,
like I did previously with ldap vs. ldaps with a similar symptom. If I
change to "SSL" from "TLS", amazing, the alternate account folders appear
and I can use it normally!

So what's going wrong with TLS? In some other mailers it's interpreted as
not just selection of ciphers, but SSL means fall back to unencrypted if
you can't set it up, while TLS means mandatory, which is what I want.
Does anyone know what SSL vs. TLS really means in SOGo?

To be specific, in Preferences -
IMAP Accounts - j...@math.ucla.edu (the name of the account), I set:

Server Name: nasturtium.math.ucla.edu Port: 993
Encryption: TLS (later changed to SSL)
User Name: jimc
Password: . (I initially tried an empty PW without success)
Full Name: Jim Carter
Email: j...@math.ucla.edu (local realm would be cft.ca.us)
Signature: (none)
Return receipt: Never.

When I hit Save+Close it is saved, and produces a "get mail" event,
whereupon these events happen (every time I try it):

In sogo.log: localhost - - [01/Mar/2011:21:22:46 GMT] "POST
/SOGo/so/jimc/Mail/0/mailboxes HTTP/1.1" 200 170/0 0.081 - - 0
(client gets messages from primary mail server; there aren't any
(correct), but the folders are shown. Nothing more is logged.)
The "in process" circle circulates, then gives up after about 30 secs.
Hit Preferences; nothing is logged, and the window eventually shows 502
proxy error, timeout reading from remote server. This can be rectified
by restarting sogod, or the watchdog will restart the worker thread
after 10 minutes.
After 3 minutes maillog on the remote IMAP server says: Mar 1 21:25:46
nasturtium dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected: Inactivity (no auth
attempts): rip=71.107.56.108, lip=128.97.19.118, TLS handshaking
(proving that sogod did connect to the server, which should have
offered STARTTLS and nothing more.)

SSL means beginning SSL negotiation directly after having handshaked the
TCP connection. The standard port for IMAP over SSL is 993.

TLS means the usage of STARTTLS to raise a normal (unencrypted)
connection to an encrypted one using an (in the IMAP case) IMAP command
(STARTTLS). It just uses the normal IMAP port 143.

Your external server does not seem to accept STARTTLS on port 143, so
with the "SSL" setting you use the port 993 of the external mail server
which just works fine.

only thing which works. To use TLS you HAVE to set the server port to 143.
