How to update them on that VM? They seem to be not installed, so should I just
install them from the nightly repository?

[SOGo] gnutls support in gnustep-base

2011-03-24 Thread Alain Toussaint
Hello,
At work, I am building a workgroup server based on Gentoo Linux and
the gnustep-base package has been compiled with gnutls support and now, I
was trying to compile SOPE but at link time, I get a linker error stating
that there is undefined crypt functions (I'm at home and working from
memory).

A google search turned up some recommendation to uninstall gnustep and
install libFoundation but it apply to SOPE as used by the opengroupware
project, not SOGo.

I guess that I need to add gnutls support in SOPE to fix the problem and I
will try this tomorrow but I'm not familiar with modifying gnu Makefile or
autoconf stuff (we learn visual studio and other Microsoft stuff at school
and mono on 4 linux boxes at home).

The only question I have is, have you seen a similar error in the past? And
does modifying the various GNUMakefile in SOPE the way to go to fix the
problem?

Thanks
Alain

You might want to update SOPE and SOGo on the VM and try again. We've
fixed many bugs regarding multi-domain support and I don't think those
changes made it in the ZEG-OC-TP7.

I got the user connection working now with a Nokia N97. Errors in

Synchronization now goes on without error.

Except that no data is actually transfered. From the phone

I am not sure if Thunderbird is supposed to work with Funambol.

You can either try with a mobile client or MS Outlook, according
to your available resources.
Regarding users/fqdn, in a funambol client (mobile/outlook) you
will set the url of your sogo server ( and the remote name of
the sources - sogo-cal etc. ) and that's it. SOGoOfficer will
pick up user credentials from the db.

[SOGo] Handling duplicated messages

2011-03-24 Thread Oleksa Stasevych

Hi guys.

Can you suggest the way how to identify and handle the duplicated
messages in SOGo, using, e.g. sieve? Historically, my customers are
using several mailboxes of different mail providers, which are
forwarding the messages between them. Do you have some experience how to
handle them, e.g. to remove or or put in a separate folder?

I thought about using sieve...

There's no easy way.

You could reset the column "c_defaults" from the sogo_user_profile table for
all users.

A better solution would be to craft a SQL statement that only removes the
SOGoFirstWeekOfYear value from the c_default column.

That's a good idea. You could file a feature request on the public BTS
(http://sogo.nu/bugs).

Hi,

In the web interface, in the Mail Options, the signature placement

In the case of replied mail, it actually works and does what is selected.

what MTA?

Perhaps you forgot to hit "expunge" or "toss trash" or whatever it's
called in Outlook. In IMAP the mail is tagged for deletion, but since
rewriting the mailbox is expensive (in mailbox format, i.e. all
messages in one file, versus maildir, i.e. one message per file),
they're all deleted together when the user hits "expunge". Some users
turn on "expunge on exit" so they don't have to remember to do it
manually.

[SOGo] Changing the defaults after creating an account

2011-03-24 Thread Paul van der Vlis
Hello,

The default weeknumbers in Sogo are wrong, I have seen there is a bug
about it. So I try to make a fix for all users.

This is in my /home/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults :
SOGoFirstWeekOfYear = First4DayWeek;
But the default weeknumbering is still wrong. When I change the
weeknumbering in a test account, it works fine.

I found the settings of my testaccount in the database. I see there is a
copy of the default-settings in it from the time the account is created.
So I cannot change the default settings after creating an account.

Is there a way to get the new default settings into all exsisting accounts?

Is there a correct way to remove all defaults from the database, and use
the default settings from .GNUstepDefaults?

With regards,
Paul van der Vlis.

BTW: I would like it, when the users could choose for an absolute value
in the settings, but also for "default". Not in all settings this is
possible, there you have to give an absolute value.

[SOGo] setting up multiple domains

2011-03-24 Thread Silver Salonen
Hi.

I downloaded the ZEG-OC-TP7 appliance and tried to set up a new domain in there.

As we have currenlty also LDAP-based multi-domain mail server for our
customers, I thought I'd create the similar structure in SOGo LDAP under the
default dc=example,dc=com, so I created structure for such user:

mail=so...@example.net,cn=example.net,dc=mail,dc=hosting,dc=example,dc=com
(that entry has also uid=so...@example.net)

What I'd like to do now is to authenticate users with their e-mail address, eg.
so...@example.net, so I changed this part in .GNUstepDefaults:

domains

example.com

SOGoMailDomain
example.com
SOGoUserSources

CNFieldName
cn
IDFieldName
uid
UIDFieldName
uid
baseDN

ou=people,dc=example,dc=com
bindDN

cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com
bindPassword
sogo
canAuthenticate
YES
displayName
Shared Addresses
hostname
localhost
id
public
isAddressBook
YES
passwordPolicy
NO
port
3389
scope
SUB
type
ldap

example.net

SOGoMailDomain
example.net
SOGoUserSources

CNFieldName
cn
IDFieldName
uid
UIDFieldName
uid
baseDN

cn=example.net,dc=mail,dc=hosting,dc=example,dc=com
bindDN

cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com
bindPassword
sogo
canAuthenticate
YES
displayName
Jagatud aadressid
hostname
localhost
id
public
isAddressBook
YES
passwordPolicy
NO
port
3389
scope
SUB
type
ldap

I also created new mailbox for so...@example.net in cyradm.

I can now still authenticate users from example.com domains with their original
usernames, but authenticating so...@example.net fails. I'm not sure where this
happens though - in SOGo, in LDAP, in Cyrus,

Any tips how to debug it further?

I am not sure, but I read about the caching of calendars in lightning
right now. I have not enabled this, because it is shown as EXPERIMENTAL.
Are there some experiences right now? Would you say, it might be stable
enough for production use for 4-5 people? Or asked like: what kind of
problems might occur with caching enabled?

Thanks
Christian

[SOGo] Error: encoding 'binary' unknown,,returning nil data

2011-03-24 Thread Ladislav Pašek

Hello,

I cannot read some emails in SOGo web interface that has this header:

MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary
Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="_--=_1300953631213090"
X-Mailer: MIME::Lite 3.020 (F2.74; B3.07; Q3.07)

In sogo.log there is this error:

encoding 'binary' unknown,,returning nil data

They are just text reports from OpenSolaris. Am I missing some library to
decode it?

Best Regards

Ladislav
