[SOGo] VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND when starting ZEG VirtualBox appliance

2011-04-28 Thread avkaplmkt
I've imported the Zero Effort Groupware (ZEG) 1.3.5 appliance to the latest
VirtualBox 4.0.6 running on a fully updated Arch Linux system. When I try to
start the virtual machine I get:

"VBoxManage startvm ZEG-1.3.5
Waiting for the VM to power on...
VBoxManage: error: The virtual machine 'ZEG-1.3.5' has terminated unexpectedly
during startup with exit code 1
VBoxManage: error: Details: code NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005), component
Machine, interface IMachine, callee"

I also tried running it headless and got:

"Oracle VM VirtualBox Headless Interface 4.0.4_OSE
(C) 2008-2011 Oracle Corporation
All rights reserved.

VRDE server is listening on port 3389.
Error: failed to start machine. Error message: Failed to open/create the
internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-en0: Ethernet'
(VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).
Failed to attach the network LUN (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND)"

I followed the instructions on the website, namely:

"VBoxManage import /path/to/ZEG.ovf"

And I used "VBoxManage showvminfo ZEG-1.3.5" to make sure that the bridged
adapter was setup to use my eth0 device, but I still get the error messages.
What does it mean? Really need help, thanks!

[SOGo] ZEG 1.3.6?

2011-04-28 Thread avkaplmkt
Will an updated version of the Zero Effort Groupware (ZEG) virtual appliance
for VirtualBox 4 containing SOGo 1.3.6 be released soon? How can I be updated
on ZEG's development? Thanks.

Yes on both accounts.

Both accounts?

Yes "on both accounts" as in correct for both questions. :)

I mean: what for "both" accounts? Two users which logged in?
The Configuration above runs for all accounts on SOGo (or the
imap-server).

I have tried it on my blackberry using astrasync, an iphone using the
built in exchange client, an ipad doing the built in exchange also,
and an andriod using the touchdown client.
This sounds like a misconfiguration of the smtp-server which
rewrites the from-header.
Hm ... or: please have a look into your php.ini, maybe there you
will find
a a preconfigured "From" (don't know exactly where, it is only an
idea)

This is possible. But where would I look at in the smtp server?

The questions are:
- what for smtp-server do you use? (Postfix, exim, sendmail, qmail ...)
- search in its configuration, i.e. with grep, and the param is the
"apache@ ...".

- search with grep in php.ini (or php5.ini or sth else).

The machine that is running sogosync is running whatever comes with a
vanilla install of fedora 13, while the actual mail server is using
postfix. I have narrowed it down to the from header is getting borked
before it leaves the sogosync machine before it can hit the mail
server. This is quite odd.

Everything I have looked at so far looks normal.

Maybe it looks normal, but i isn't - otherwise you had no false FROM.

Strike all the problems. I found that the mail was being sent out via
ssmtp and I edited the config file to allow the From header NOT to be
rewritten. Now all sends as it should and the world is at peace.

Now the only problem is I have one iPhone user that we are testing that
when he sends an email it goes nowhere. Gotta start tracking that down.

BTW, is there a rough time schedule for the release of 1.3.7? :)

Now done - it'll be part of the upcoming nightly builds.

To make this work, simply set KindFieldName to the column that will hold
either of the three values: "group", "location" or "thing". Also set
MultipleBookingsFieldName to the column that will hold an integer value
representing the maximum concurrent "booking" allowed for the resource -
"0" being unlimited.

I tried both methods and created a SOGoUserSources from your example.

Now, I can see "resources" like the global addressbook and in it my
test-resource "room-a". But the test-resource "room-a" is an ordinary
"address" and not a special resource.

Does the webinterface no work with resouces yet?

It does.

Show your configuration and your LDIF entries - I can't guess what you
put in there.

Hi Ludovic,

I was unable to find out how it should work correctly. Could you give
more details?

I tried both methods and created a SOGoUserSources from your example.

test-resource "room-a". But the test-resource "room-a" is an ordinary
"address" and not a special resource.

Does the webinterface no work with resouces yet?

I thought that resouces are shown in the calendar with a begin-/end-date.

Greetz,
Martin
@ludovic: I've created a schema from the draft for me. But there were
some errors in the draft so I'd to fix it and I've assigned a OID for
the placeholder "x" in the draft. This solution works for me. If you're
interested I can send it.

On 04/25/2011 02:38 PM, Ludovic Marcotte wrote:

Hello,

A new feature has just landed in the SOGo code: resources planning.

It's now possible to tell SOGo how to identify resources (conference
rooms, projectors, etc.) and apply constraints on them to avoid
double-bookings and to automatically accept the "invitation" for them.

This works right now only over LDAP and you can identify resources
using either :

 a- the "calendarresource" objectClass (see
http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-cal-resource-schema-03)
 b- a specific LDAP attribute (specified by the "KindFieldName"
parameter in your SOGoUserSources) which must hold either "location",
"thing" or "group" (also see the URL above)

Then, you must also set how many simultaneous bookings are allowed for
this resource. A value of "0" means no limit. This limit is also read
from a LDAP attribute specified by "MultipleBookingsFieldName".

If SOGo can't determine it's a resource, the code will work just like
it did before - meaning that someone must accept/decline the
invitation for the resource. If it can, the following scenarios are
possible:

1- automatically accept the invitation for the resource if there's no
conflict
2- prevent save operations if there's a conflict (ie., someone tries
to use a resource already scheduled for an other meeting)

A SOGoUserSources entry which can handle resources might look like :

{
CNFieldName = cn;
IDFieldName = uid;
KindFieldName = description;
MultipleBookingsFieldName = multiplebook;
UIDFieldName = uid;
baseDN = "dc=inverse,dc=ca";
bindDN = "cn=sogo,ou=services,dc=inverse,dc=ca";
bindPassword = zot;
canAuthenticate = YES;
displayName = "Partag\U00E9";
hostname = "127.0.0.1";
id = public;
isAddressBook = YES;
port = 389;
},

while a resource defined in LDAP *could* look like :

dn: uid=room103,ou=resources,dc=inverse,dc=ca
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: person
objectClass: top
uid: room103
mail: room...@inverse.ca
cn: room103
sn: room103
multiplebook: 1
description: location

Nightly builds are being regenerated and should be available in less
than 30 mins with that code in.

this is a cool feature.

Do you have a download-link for the Schema of the objectClass
"calendarresource"? - I couldn't find any as it's only a draft and I
don't want to build the whole Schema-file from the draft's paper myself.

No, but it would be a nice contribution from you ;-)

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 3.1 and calendar blink

2011-04-28 Thread Ryan Evans
We have the same issue here and will not be upgrading our users to 3.1
until issue is resolved. It's very frustrating, but I believe it is a
mozilla issue and not high on their agenda to fix. I have noticed quite
a few bug fixes in the lightning code recently, hopefully we will geta
Beta3 and (fingers crossed) this issue can be one of the fixed items

cheers

Hi cristian, hi people this is a summary of my problem:

Every 2-3 minutes i see blinking of all calendars and events, like a

When i see this reload and i'm working on events, thunderbird stops to

Can anyone tell me why?
