Re: [SOGo] Can't Login after Install/Configuration of New Instance

2014-02-25 Thread Ron Scott-Adams
It’s also worth mentioning that my postgres database is empty, though the base
schema seems to be present:
sogo=# \d
  List of relations
 Schema |   Name   |   Type   | Owner
+--+--+---
 public | sogo_folder_info | table| sogo
 public | sogo_folder_info_c_folder_id_seq | sequence | sogo
 public | sogo_sessions_folder | table| sogo
 public | sogo_user_profile| table| sogo
(4 rows)

Is that normal due to no user having ever successfully logged in, or is
something else wrong that may be contributing to my login issue?

Also, I should mention I also tested logging in as the SOGo ldap user via
ldapwhoami, and it succeeded.

Lastly, everything else in the stack seems to work: Postfix/Dovecot/Sieve
channel a message correctly when testing via Telnet. It’s non-trivial to test
too far beyond that, though, and obviously, this is a login issue specific to
SOGo. I’m sure there’s something simple I’m not considering, but what?

2014-02-25 Thread Ron Scott-Adams
Hello Christian, thanks for the reply.

After adding the LDAP clause to my conf and restarting SOGo, I get no further
information in sogo.log. For the record, the ACL entry for the SOGo LDAP user
follows. It’s identical to the permissions in my functional SOGo
implementation, and the DIT is structured the same.

dn: olcDatabase={1}hdb,cn=config
changetype: modify
add: olcAccess
olcAccess: to dn.subtree="ou=Users,dc=tohuw,dc=net" by

Re: [SOGo] Re: Problem with imap and SOGoMailAuxiliaryUserAccountsEnabled = YES

2014-02-25 Thread Janis Hamme
Yes that field is missing. Your SOGo password is used for IMAP
Authentication. When external imap servers are used (as primary imap
account), a user must change his sogo password manually when the IMAP
password has changed.

For the other parameters (login name, imap server) you can add database
fields or set them globally for a user source.

Thanks for the answer,

Ok it's seems to be a little hard to do, specially for the imap
password ( it's missing the feature IMAPPasswordFieldName ) ...

Tell me if I'm wrong but I think that it could be resolved by:
- create new fields in Sogo postgresql database ( IMAPname, IMAPpass )
- enter with sql commands of each user imap login and password
- In sogo.conf, use IMAPLoginFieldName = "IMAPname";
   etc...

Yes you need to configure a primary email account first.
You can just configure an external mail accounts as primary account.
If required you can make individual settings per users: check
IMAPHostFieldName and IMAPLoginFieldName in the documentation.

Thanks Julien, this is another interesting development as we currently
bolt SOGo on top of the standard Dovecot/Postfix configuration in
Zentyal 3.3.

Which SOGo version is this work based on? If it is 2.2.0, is there a
way of providing ActiveSync support in Zentyal 3.4 without installing
Zarafa?

Looking forward to testing this in the next few days...

[SOGo] Address books still not syncing with upgrades

2014-02-25 Thread Bob Wooldridge

I upgraded the server to sogo v2.2.0-1 (Debian package on Wheezy).

I upgraded the connector and integrator to v24.04.

The integrator was edited with the following:

In the file: chrome/content/extensions.rdf, replaced line with:

http://inverse.ca/sogo-integrator/extensions";
isi:updateURL="https://groupware.edm-inc.com/plugins/updates.php?plugin=
%ITEM_ID%&version=%ITEM_VERSION%&platform=%PLATFORM%">

In the file: defaults/preferences/site.js, edited line to read:
pref("sogo-integrator.autocomplete.server.urlid", "groupware.edm-inc.com");

Also changed timezone to America/Chicago.

Does this all look correct? Is anyone else having trouble syncing
address books?

[SOGo] SOGo webmail restyle by Zentyal

2014-02-25 Thread Julien Kerihuel
Good afternoon,

We are very excited to announce that we will include a new OpenChange
webmail user interface (UI) (based on SOGo webmail) in the Zentyal
Server 3.4 [1] version that will be released on March 15th and is
available for beta testing as of today.

We have written an article in Zentyal Labs that highlights the main
changes and include several screenshots:

No, sadly not.
If you "reply" to an email in "Sent", then SOGo really replies to the
sender (which is yourself), not to the recipients.

Ah, thanks. I'm only interested in SOGo as a connector for sharing my
address books among Thuderbird IMAP clients, so was not aware of its
groupware departures from normal TB operation. I appreciate your explanation.

In Thunderbird, you can right-click on *any* email (not just one in the
Sent folder) and click 'Edit as new' to do the same exact thing...

I just checked, and right-clicking on an email in any folder in the SOGo
GUI shows the exact same menu choice ('Edit As New...', but it is greyed
out...

Maybe this is a feature that must be enabled in the config?

Thunderbird does, SOGo's webmailer doesn't.

My SOGo is not working properly with e-mail through the new Activesync
either.

It doesn't seem I get any useful info in log files even if I turn on all
the debugging from example sogo.conf on.

Yes you need to configure a primary email account first.
You can just configure an external mail accounts as primary account. If
required you can make individual settings per users: check
IMAPHostFieldName and IMAPLoginFieldName in the documentation.

[SOGo] Enabling ActiveSync in apache failed

2014-02-25 Thread Martin Rabl

Hi,

thank you guys from Inverse for the newest Version of SOGo!

On question I have, maybe I have overseen something.

When I enable the proxy_pass for ActiveSync in the new deliverd
SOGo.conf for apache, I got an startup warning, and the configured
ActiveSync proxy is not enabled.

The warning is:
corax:/etc/sogo# service apache2 restart
 * Restarting web server apache2
  [Tue Feb 25 12:41:43 2014] [warn]
worker http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo already used by another worker
 ... waiting [Tue Feb 25 12:41:44 2014] [warn] worker
http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo already used by another worker

But, why it says, that SOGo is already used , when I enable ActiveSync?

Thank you,

Martin

Your config looks OK.
I guess your user doesn't have the privileges needed on your LDAP.

In order to get more debugging information for your LDAP access, add the
following to your config:
LDAPDebugEnabled = YES;
