Re: [SOGo] SOGo address book to LDAP field mapping

2014-03-14 Thread Cédric Chambrelan
*If your mail property has the email address for the imap idetification,
what is the mail address in the mail what sent by any of your user?*
Exact this is the "bad" address lo...@imap.mydeomain.fr ... I haven't seen
before :-/

I'll try to modify fields I use to the mail ... maybe I'll found an issue,
thanks for your help.

My problem is I need to map the mail field to another field only for
address book.

In the Active Directory field "mail" I have the address of the imap
mailbox to deliver the mail like this :

lo...@imap.mydomain.fr
and for persons which have leave our structure :
personnal_addr...@externalfai.xxx
SOGo use this "mail" field to find and show the mailbox on our imap
server and it works very well.

But in the address book and autocompletion I want to show only email
address like firstname.n...@mydomain.fr

I think the mapping is generally, not just for some functions. So, if
the mail= mapping is happen, the SOGo will use it systemwide by default.
A question... If your mail property has the email address for the imap
idetification, what is the mail address in the mail what sent by any of
your user?

I imagine 2 solutions :
- map the mail field to another field only for addressbook/autocompletion
- change the field address book used (should be the better solution)

Other suggestion:

mail= for the address book and outgoung address, and other field for the
imap identification.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo address book to LDAP field mapping

2014-03-14 Thread Cédric Chambrelan
Thanks for your help, I tried this yesterday with mapping but SOGo maps for
every modules.

My problem is I need to map the mail field to another field only for
address book.

In the Active Directory field "mail" I have the address of the imap mailbox
to deliver the mail like this :
lo...@imap.mydomain.fr
and for persons which have leave our structure :
personnal_addr...@externalfai.xxx
SOGo use this "mail" field to find and show the mailbox on our imap server
and it works very well.

But in the address book and autocompletion I want to show only email
address like firstname.n...@mydomain.fr

I imagine 2 solutions :
- map the mail field to another field only for addressbook/autocompletion
- change the field address book used (should be the better solution)

But I don't know if it's possible.

Best regards

Cédric

Re: [SOGo] Apple iOS Contacts vs OS X Contacts

2014-03-14 Thread Laz C. Peterson
Francis, thanks again for your quick response.

My goal here is to allow all users of a domain the ability to read an address
book, while giving a single user the ability to modify/add/etc the address
book. Would I simply define another user source, specify that it is an address
book, and define permissions?

To be honest, I don’t know much more than defining LDAP-based user sources
(AD/OpenLDAP). So, I’m guessing they do not have the ability to do what I’m
looking for. How about SQL user source, is it possible to allow one user
permissions to modify this?

Again, thank you for your insight.

[SOGo] a 15000 user Server?

2014-03-14 Thread Marc Patermann

Hi,

is it realistic to have a single SOGo server for up to 15000 users?
- No Outlook/Openchange
- Mostly *DAV with Thunderbird
- very little WebGUI

How does SOGo work behind a load balancer - if you want to spread the
load to more than one server?

What has to be replicated between the servers, only the database or do I
need something like a replicated ClusterFS for anything else?

Is there any Howto/Best Practice for this kind of scenario?

[SOGo] Dependency Thunderbird Add-ons - SOGo Server Version

2014-03-14 Thread Marc Patermann

Hi,

what are the dependencies between the SOGo server version and the
version of Thunderbird Add-ons?

We are still (and will be some time ...) on TB 17.
Will the lastest add-ons work with TB 17?
(If not) Will the lastest server version work with TB 17 add-ons?

Oh I see …

Gotcha! Just updated to the nightly build.

I think I should stay on top of that a little bit more next time. Thank you so

You are wrong here.

A company has to explicitly forbid personal usage in Germany (in writing
and signed from each employee).
Most companies don't have that.

Also every workers council (Betriebsrat) has to agree and can restrict
access to some defined use cases.
