I did have errors earlier that hinted at running out of file

root@mail01:~# ulimit -Sn 65000
root@mail01:~# su - sogo

Btw, I am testing with version 3.2.4 (build @shiva.inverse 201612290757)
I will try running with the latest.

What average memory usage per worker I should budget for ? (27MB < ?

It depends on your SxVMemLimit value. I've just pushed in commits
841fdb96cc7b30804d0f9917af4a58a19bf8091c and
5e775ea4ceec6c64c3f7e8dc345c1be91e2e22e4 a better output upon startup:

So at 238 MB with a SxVMemLimit set at SxVMemLimit, each sogod work can
consume about 146MB of RAM before getting restarted. Of course, some can
consume more than that for a few seconds (while generating huge
responses for example).

Re: [SOGo] multi-domain and identical usernames

2017-01-09 Thread To Ja
I'm happy to say that finally I made it working.
Not through SOGo configuration, but via custom javascript.

My data model for Exim, dovecot and roundcube is that user gets
authenticated everywhere with full usern...@domain.tld
Users are able to login in roundcube with username only (without domain)
because roundcube takes care of concatenating username and correct domain.
This was not possible in SOGo out of the box.
I modified this file
/usr/share/GNUstep/SOGo/WebServerResources/js/Common.js
and now SOGo login screen behaves the same way as roundcube. Namely:
1. user enters only his/her username on the logon page
2. JS script takes care of concatenating '@alpha.com' or '@beta.com' to
the username depending whether user is accessing mail.alpha.com or
mail.beta.com
Of course data model for SOGo also use full usern...@domain.tld for c_uid

I am not that much of web or JS developer, so if anybody has an opinion on
this approach, I am looking forward to read it.

One more problem to solve - https://sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=3981
and SOGo webmail will be ready for our production : )
Can't wait.

[SOGo] Can't share a calendar

Dear Friends,

I'm running Sogo 3.2.4 nightly build, I have no issues until now. I tried to
share a calender witj other mail user and I got this error:

I ave no changed to 9 tables MySQL schema. Is this the reason for that error
message?

Thanks for your support.

Re: [SOGo] AD avatar - How to?

2017-01-09 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto

Hi!

 Unfortunatelly it is not working with CaldavSynchronizer. When photo
mapping is enabled, CalDav returns the following error:
"System.FormatException: Invalid length for a Base-64 char array or
string.".

 Somebody already had this issue, but the answer wasn't very good:
https://sourceforge.net/p/outlookcaldavsynchronizer/discussion/general/thread/d6640b37/

 Is there anything that we can do to make it work with
CalDavSynchronizer, too?

Thank you.

Hi Alex,

That's easy.
SOGo by default uses the photo LDAP attribute. You need to create a
Mapping from photo to thumbnailPhoto or jpegPhoto, or both. See the
documentation for LDAP UserSource mapping, I don't have it in my mind.

It should look somehow like
photo = ("thumbnailPhoto", "jpegPhoto")

You're right!
https://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGoInstallationGuide.html#_ldap_attributes_mapping
I searched 'jpegphoto' and 'thumbnailphoto', but neither on the doc. But
this link contains the "photo" part. :) Thanks.

Re: [SOGo] AD avatar - How to?

2017-01-09 Thread Alexandre Zuotoski Neto

Hi Christoph,

 Thanks, that did the trick. Actually I had added the mapping, but I
guess that that I've chosen the wrong attribute, now to be sure that it
will bring the image, I used both (like in your example). The
documentation like that explains how to do it is here:
https://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGoInstallationGuide.html#_ldap_attributes_mapping

Here is how my sogo.conf looks like now - I just replaced some personal
data, like server names and passwords, by uppercase words, like
MY_AD_DOMAIN, for example:

"

SOGoUserSources = (
 {
 type = ldap;
 hostname = "ldap://MY_AD_SERVER_ADDRESS_GOES_HERE";;
 baseDN = "CN=users,DC=MY_AD_DOMAIN";
 //bindAsCurrentUser = YES;
 bindDN = "ADUSER_TO_READ_MY_AD@MY_DOMAIN";
 bindPassword = "MY_AD_USER_THAT_READS_AD";
 filter = "((memberOf='CN=SOME_AD_LEVEL,CN=Users,DC=MY_AD_DOMAIN' AND
NOT useraccountcontrol:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:='2') OR
(memberOf='CN=SOME_AD_LEVEL_FOR_GROUPS,CN=Users,DC=MY_AD_DOMAIN'))";
 //filter = "mail='*'";
 scope = SUB;

// The algorithm used for password encryption when changing
 // passwords without Password Policies enabled.
 // Possible values are: plain, crypt, md5-crypt, ssha, ssha512.
 userPasswordAlgorithm = plain;

IDFieldName = cn;
 bindFields = (sAMAccountName);
 CNFieldName = cn;
 // value of UID field must be unique on whole server.
 UIDFieldName = sAMAccountName;
 IMAPLoginFieldName = mail;
 SearchFieldNames = (cn, sn, displayName, mail, otherMailbox, name);
 canAuthenticate = YES;
 displayName = "THE NAME FOR MY GLOBAL CATALOG THAT WILL SHOW UP IN SOGO
INTERFACE";
 id = directory;
 isAddressBook = YES;
 mapping = {
 photo = ("thumbnailPhoto","jpegPhoto");
 };

}

);

"

 Now I'll try to make it work with CalDavSynchronizer with Outlook and
if it works, that will be just perfect.

Thank you!

Peti,

 I really appreciate your reply. No big deal about your
misunderstanding, I wasn't clear enought on original my question.

 I also can confirm that there is nothing on the documentation about it,
so if someone could show us the way, that would be great. This is the
only feature that I am waiting for to finally put SOGo in production
here.

Cheers,

Hi Alexandre,

For example: if you have a thumbnail in /path/example.jpg, then you can
do it with the following method.

   echo "dn: cn=example.user,dc=example,dc=com
   changetype: modify
   add: jpegPhoto
   jpegPhoto:< file://path/example.jpg
   -
   add: thumbnailPhoto
   thumbnailPhoto:< file://path/example.jpg" | ldapmodify -D
   cn=administrator,dc=example,dc=com -W

It adds both attribute to the user's attributes after you give the
administrator' password.

You need the ldap-utils package for do that.

If user have an other jpeg thumbnail avater, then you need to use the
"replace" command instead of "add". I think you can use the ldbmodify
instead of ldapmodify with similar syntax, but not sure to same. I
usually use above.

[SOGo] [Help] Sogo and External SMTP

2017-01-09 Thread Andrea Cuccuru

Hi,
I'm trying to configure sogo to send email notifications using an external SMTP server.
The problem is that, in some users, the password of the mail server is different to the ldap one. This causes sogo not send the e-mail to the attendees when a new event is created.

  /* Mail */
  SOGoDraftsFolderName = Drafts;
  SOGoSentFolderName = Sent;
  SOGoTrashFolderName = Trash;
  SOGoMailingMechanism = smtp;
  SOGoMailDomain = mydomain.com;
  SOGoSMTPServer = mail.mydomain.com;
  SOGoIMAPServer = imaps://mail.mydomain.com;
  SOGoSMTPAuthenticationType = PLAIN;
  SOGoForceExternalLoginWithEmail = YES;
  SOGoMailSpoolPath = /var/spool/mail/sogo;
  NGImap4ConnectionStringSeparator = "/";
//  SOGoMailCustomFromEnabled = YES;
//  SOGoMailCustomEmail = s...@mydomain.com;

  /* Notifications */
  SOGoAppointmentSendEMailNotifications = YES;
  SOGoACLsSendEMailNotifications = YES;
  SOGoFoldersSendEMailNotifications = YES;
  SOGoNotifyOnPersonalModifications = YES;

This is part of the sogo.conf file. /etc/cron.d/sogo is already configured with the -p /credfile.
What should I change again?

Best Regards,
Andrea Cuccuru
