Re: [SOGo] email storage location

2014-01-02 Thread BOLLINGH Sebastien
In fact, it stores them nowhere by itself.
You've to install a mail server like dovecot, courrier or cyrus for example.
They have the task to store mails in mailboxes.

It's the force of SOGo: not recreating what works well elsewhere.
So you have the choice, the security, the experience of working solutions and
you can put SOGo on Top For functions not already implemented in open-source
universe collaborative software.

Sorry for my por English ;-)

Anyone know where SOGo stores the actual emails messages? Is it in a database
or a file structure somewhere on the server?

I also think its a good idea to display the statusconnected or not /away from keyboard / etc.Probably not realy interesting to include an xmpp chat interface in the webmail.Even if using two web interfaces is less easy as Jappix and SOGo webmail. But now with the thunderbird ability of connecting to an xmpp server and modifying to green the bullet in from of the name of a mail sender if its connected ... its really interesting for not sending her/him a mail if the content is ephemeral.Very first step in the good way to fighting against not really necessary mails, no ?--BOLLINGH Sbastien Message original Sujet: Re: [SOGo] SOGoDate: Mardi 1 Octobre 2013 23:05 CESTDe: Szldovics Pter
