Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird 128 support
Hello Stefan, sorry for late reply, but i was away over the weekend. I use this setup for about 4 or 5 years with several calendars (even shared calendars) and also several adressbooks just with Thunderbird without the connector. I also have recurring events and don't face any problems with it. At the moment i use Thunderbird 115.14.4 on a Debian 12 based Linux. regards Juergen Am 22.08.24 um 11:07 schrieb Stefan Klatt (stefan.kl...@cac-netzwerk.de): Hi Jürgen, really? Re: [SOGo] App based Key for calendar access
Hello Bastian, So in Mailcow I have the option to set app passwords for which protocols (POP3, IMAP, SMTP, DAV, Sieve, EAS/ActiveSync) this is allowed. This also makes it possible to set an app password only for DAV (CardDAV/CalDAV). that should help you in my opinion. The only thing I can't do is use SOGo webmail with app passwords. best regards Juergen PS: I took the liberty of sending you an email directly Am 30.10.22 um 19:33 schrieb Bastian Bringenberg (bast...@agentur-pottkinder.de): Hey Jürgen, we are using mailcow as well, but it clearly says in my (perhaps some kind of outdated) backend that this app password is not part of logo so that I cannot use it. Re: [SOGo] Is SOGo Connector dead?
Dear Sven, it is possible to use Thunderbird with a SOGo server without the SOGo connector, as Thunderbird has integrated support for CardDAV/CalDAV. I've been using Thunderbird and SOGo without a connector for a long time. From my point of view, the connector is only necessary if you want to make special settings/activities directly from Thunderbird without going through the SOGo web interface. best regards Juergen Am 19.10.22 um 15:06 schrieb Sven Schwedas (sven.schwe...@tao.at): Last and only commit this year was in June, and most if not all functionality is broken in current TB releases (subscription status isn't synced, subscription buttons are missing, etc.). Re: [SOGo] Client to replace Thunderbird?
Hello Lukas, maybe you may have a look at "Interlink" [1]. It is a fork from Thunderbird and some of my clients use it. Thunderbird gets more and more annyoing - especially the update policy with its habit of breaking things and then forcing users to update. And now the problem with address lists not working anymore in Thunderbird 78. That's definitely a nogo for us. So we're searching for a suitable alternative. Must have: IMAP for mails Calendar including shared calendars. Adressbooks including shared addressbooks and the support of lists. no pure web-client because of necessary interaction with another software running here. Windows supported and nice to have: to be able to subscribe / unsubscribe to calendars and addressbooks easily. Linux supported We had a look at em-client which looks pretty nice and even works under linux using wine. But we could not get the support of address-lists to work. Lists created in sogo don't get synced to em-client. Lists created in em-client get synced to sogo as an empty contact. So my questions: - anyone got em-client to work with address lists? - any other recommendation that matches our requirements?
