Hey newbie,

I am thankfull that Christian replied on this as I deleted (unplanned)
your original email... x-(

There is no "easy" manual for SOGo.. but I am going to guess that you
are making the same mistake I did.

Don't think of SOGo as a complete email solution. What SOGo does very,
very genios(TM)-ly, is to make almost any email type service a compete
collaborative/business type solution.

SOGo is the extra gear. SOGo basically provides to your already setup
email server ( be that your local mail server or outside service
provider ) and then servers the calendar/contacts Active Sync or DAV. So
no need for a out of box licensed system or propietary system.

So more of a layer to take your average mail system to professional
collaboration. :-)

So if you want to get to grips with SOGo and a mail solution quickly..
there's a awesome solution called iredmail (http://www.iredmail.org/)
that will set up a system from scratch to a complete solution. Check it out.

If this doesn't help, buzz me on my private email addie and we get it
sorted :-)

I ask is there some kind of manual available
to install SOGo on a single Home Linux PC

for the purpose of migrate and serve emails, calendar, contcacts
from Windows 7-Outlook to Linux SOGo

and be able to synchronize contacts and events to smartphones by activesync
(Symbian,iOS,Android)
and receive from several email provider emails stored in SOGo (Dovecot)?

Without a static IP-Address or at least a Dyn-DNS-Setup SOGo is not
usable, as you cannot access it with your devices.

Whether you use a workstation which runs 24x7 or a server or a VM is
irrelevant.

Hey guys,

To note, I am testing SOGO and some of my hosting email accounts. While
everything so far was successful, from testing mobile device with AS to
Outlook 2016 was all good, but...

Then we tested a mailbox with a fairly big mailbox of +/- 3GB. Setup is
fine, but the mailbox never syncs. The following was noted in the logs
with the sync:

---> Snip (hundreds of these messages follow)

Left the Outlook client to sync troughout the day but nothing shows up
in Outlook. Iphone 6 with the same account configured immediately
started showing emails.

I'm getting the feeling that it might be a bug concerning Outlook 2016?

Any advice appreciated!

Re: [SOGo] 3.0.3, when?

2016-04-18 Thread Keith Williams

Hi Emilio,

I believe it will be the 1st of June.

I also could not wait as I had customers on 3.0.2 that had the issue, so
I proceeded to build custom RPMs for CentOS 7 so I could update without
having to wait.

So far no issues noted.. (4 days-60 clients with AS devices)

Regards,

Hi everyone,

I am very anxious to use 3.0.3 version of SOGo.
Since they released the fix of the bug 3571, I am really excited to use
this new version that includes a lot of others fixes too.

As I know that the nightly builds should not be considered production
ready, can someone tell me when 3.0.3 will be released? Is that soon?

Best Regards.

Hi there,

Can someone point me to any RPM build docs/instructions for Sogo?
(3.0.x) I am not running git on production servers, so would be good to
get to bug fixes in git and build rpms/upgrades.

I build RPM with SOGo both for 2.x and 3.x:
http://git.altlinux.org/gears/s/sogo2.git
http://git.altlinux.org/gears/s/sogo3.git

or in
https://packages.altlinux.org/en/Sisyphus/srpms/sogo2
https://packages.altlinux.org/en/Sisyphus/srpms/sogo3
if you need spec file and patches.

I build from upstream git repository with spec using
http://altlinux.org/Gear

Fist, you should build openchange and sope (2.x and 3.x). Look for spec
file in repository.

Re: [SOGo] ActiveSync not working

Hi Ludovic,

Thanks for the info. That is probably the cause of my issue (Subject:
Special Folder Creation) as well. Will the fix be part of RPM update?

Keith

The '-' character shouldn't be used for table names. We'll provide a fix
later today.
