[SOGo] Outlook 2013 ActiveSync Mail Header date localized

2015-10-01 Thread Sascha Kasch

dear list,

anyone encountered that outlook 2013 localizes the date within the mail
header?

so tuesday "tue" will be written Dienstag "di" (german localization).

this is something that confuses other mailclients as they expect the
date in english,
so partially (with roundcube) the date will not be displayed and some
clients just
set the date to something like 01.01.1970 (due to date-sorting this mail
won't be noticed).

some spam-engines fetch those mail as this header is malformed.

outlook 2013 does this via activesync but not via imap.

could it be the language settings each user specifies within his SOGo
webfrontent?

this is quite disturbing any help or hint is appreciated.

cheers,
sascha

Hello,

is there any way to sync shared address books via EAS? That would be great.

Thanks and best regards

No - not right now.

First of all, over ActiveSync, we currently only send over the
personal calendar and personal address book. This "limitation" will
be removed soon (quite an easy fix).

Once we do that, additional personal collections and ones shared (and
subscribed too) will be exposed over ActiveSync - so clients can also
consume the data from them. We'll enforce ACL at the server level
when offering them. Outlook 2013 (and other AS clients) will likely
allow you to modify locally the data even if you aren't allowed, but
the server will reject the modifications and tell the client to sync
the data back - reverting to the server's copy.

AFAIK, there's no concept of sharing/delegation/ACLs with ActiveSync.

[SOGo] Outlook 2013 crashes when connecting to SOGo with ActiveSync

2015-06-15 Thread Angelo Machils

Hello,

Outlook 2013 is installed on a freshly install Win8.1 Enterprise (with a
VM), no other applications have been installed yet. After successfully
configuring Outlook to connect to my mailserver (so ActiveSync is
running correctly) Outlook starts to sync, but crashes after a while.
After this, Outlook crashes as soon as I start the application.

In the SOGo log I can only see:

[SOGo] Outlook 2013 with ActiveSync merges email addresses into one.

2015-06-14 Thread raido.rinaldi
Hello,

When I put more than 2 addresses to "To field" then outlook merges them into
one.
Problem is with all computers in company (outlook 2013+activesync) so it is
not computer related. From webmail everything is fine.

Here is a short video to introdouce my problem:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0oiqgvct2dn651k/2015-06-12%2012.34.20.mp4?dl=0 [^]

At first it was with few reciepients, but now it is with everyone.

I have cleared my outlook autocomplete several times.

Problem only occours with ActiveSync, with imap it is fine. Please let me now
what log output or etc you need to help me to resolve this issue.

[SOGo] Outlook 2013 - Meeting scheduling

Hi Everyone,

I am running SOGo 2.2.14, and are trying to integrate Microsoft Outlook 2013

related to calendaring:

If the outlook user creates a meeting and invited attendees, I see the
following issue
#1: Two emails are sent, one from outlook about the meeting and one from SOGo
(not important)
#2: The VCALENDAR info sent to participants is wrong, making it impossible to
accept/decline the meeting.

Here is the VCALENDAR from an outlook invite:

The difference seems to be that Outlook 2013 uses the email address as the cn
field, which is obviously wrong. But my understanding is that Outlook gets
this information from the activeSync settings, at least there is no way to
configure this in Outlook I can find.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what may be going on? I am happy to look into
this more and provide any other information if it helps.

Thanks!

[SOGo] OpenChange + SOGo + Outlook 2013: not local Dovecot 2.2.10

2015-01-14 Thread Mihamina RAKOTOMANDIMBY

Hello,

I'm using latest Samba+SOGO(2.2.13)+OpenChange(2.2) from the Inverse RPM
repositories on a CentOS6.

SOGo (Web interface and with Thunderbird) is working fine.
My Dovecot is on another host (not localhost of SOGo/OpenChange)

The problem is Outlook 2013 does not download IMAP messages.
When sniffing IMAP traffic (tshark/tcpdump) I detect no attempt to
connect, whent testing with Outlook.

I got traffic when using the Web Interface.

Though, it sends without problem, as when I send with outlook, the
recipient gets the message when viewing it through the web interface.

Most of the documentation I find on Internet relates to local Dovecot.
Is there a recommandation on the location of the Dovecot server?

Thank you.

You obviously didn't read the documetation.
http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Native%20Microsoft%20Outlook%20Configuration.pdf
In "SOGo Native Microsoft Outlook Configuration" it states under
"Current Limitations":
"Errors when synchronizing the "Offline Address Book" are normal and can
be ignored for now.
This feature is currently not supported."

And in "SOGo - Installation and Configuration Guide" under "Microsoft
ActiveSync":
"Outlook 2013 freebusy lookups are supported using the Internet
Free/Busy feature of Outlook
2013. Please see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291621 for
configuration instructions. On the
SOGo side, SOGoEnablePublicAccess must be set to YES and the URL to use
must be of the fol-
lowing format: http:///SOGo/dav/public/%NAME%/freebusy.ifb"

Kind regards,

Hi all,

i've got a little trouble with Freebusy lookup in outlook 2013. We use LDAP
auth and, as written here
http://www.sogo.nu/fr/nc/support/faq/article/the-shared-addressbook-is-empty

sync outlook 2013 people with that address book, so i cannot check freebusy
status of my mates.

It works perfectly on web interface.

What i'm doing wrong?

Thank you very much

Used character sets are set in the email itself (attribute Content-Type
option charset) .
Which one will be set/used, is dependant on the used email client for
sending.

SOGo always sends emails in UTF-8.
In Outlook and Thunderbird this is part of the account settings.

Re: [SOGo] Outlook 2013 causes sogod to consume all RAM and CPU cycles on exit/startup when synching adress book

2014-12-09 Thread Sigurd Holter

Hi !

Our user has closed down Outlook 2013.
On startup, the sync process starts from the beginning.
All mails are downloaded to Outlook again, so all mails are doubled.
There are 2 instances of each email.

What can cause this behaviour ?

This is with nightly build 20141208.

I'll test that.

Are you in a position to try a nightly build? They should be very
stable since only bug fixes has landed since v2.2.10 in them.

In the next couple of hours, some memory optimization will land in
the nightly builds - we should see the memory consumption reduced by
500%.

Are you in a position to try a nightly build? They should be very
stable since only bug fixes has landed since v2.2.10 in them.

In the next couple of hours, some memory optimization will land in the
nightly builds - we should see the memory consumption reduced by 500%.

[SOGo] Outlook 2013 causes sogod to consume all RAM and CPU cycles on exit/startup when synching adress book

2014-12-02 Thread Sigurd Holter

Hi !

One of our users has successfully synced his emails using Outlook 2013
on our sogo 2.1.10 server.
But when he tries to copy contacts from his archived .PST file into his
ActiveSync profile the sogod process consumes all RAM and CPU cycles.

I have to kill the process manually.
But somehow Outlook/sogo remembers the aborted synchronization and
starts it again at next startup/exit of Outlook, so the process has to
be killed again.

The only way around is to delete the user's profile and start from scratch.

Sogo doesn't seem to honour the maxvmemsize parameter.

Mail synching seems to work fine.

I have a pcap of the startup process if that helps towards solving this
problem.

Is there anything else I can try to solve this and/or find the bug (if
there is one) ?

when I send letter with symbols öäüõ (estonian alfabet symbols), letters are

It'll be part of a minor release - most likely before the end of June.

No - not right now.

First of all, over ActiveSync, we currently only send over the personal
calendar and personal address book. This "limitation" will be removed soon
(quite an easy fix).

Once we do that, additional personal collections and ones shared (and
subscribed too) will be exposed over ActiveSync - so clients can also
consume the data from them. We'll enforce ACL at the server level when
offering them. Outlook 2013 (and other AS clients) will likely allow you to
modify locally the data even if you aren't allowed, but the server will
reject the modifications and tell the client to sync the data back -
reverting to the server's copy.

AFAIK, there's no concept of sharing/delegation/ACLs with ActiveSync.

[SOGo] Outlook 2013 ActiveSync - wrong IMAP user name

2014-06-10 Thread Sean M. Pappalardo

Hello.

I'm trying to get Outlook 2013 working over ActiveSync. The IMAP server
allows logging in with the E-mail address or the Kerberos user name
(first.last in my case.) But when I try to use ActiveSync with either of
those, it attempts to log in to IMAP with
imaps://first%20l...@mail.example.com/ as seen in the SOGo log.

Logging in to SOGo from the Web interface (using either Email address or
user name thanks to my LDAP settings) accesses the E-mail just fine, so
why is it not using the user name I specified in the ActiveSync setup
wizard but the CN instead?

RE: [SOGo] Outlook 2013 and ActiveSync connector when offline

2014-03-03 Thread Cedric Perrot
Hello

When I am using Outlook 2013 connected to the network everything works
Calendar, Contacts and Mails are being synchronized.

After disconnecting the laptop from the network deleting Mails, Contacts and
Calendar entries only Contacts are being synchronized once back connected to
the network.

Mails and Calendar entries remain unchanged on the server.

Hello Ludovic

I tested the syncing issue again with today's nightly build. When deleting
and inserting events in the calendar when offline Outlook and/or SOGo does
not synchronise the events.

Same for mails, some mails do get synchronized some don't.

Hello Ludovic

I have been testing for a while and I noticed that Outlook and/or sogo does
not synchronize the mails if Outlook was not connected to the Internet for a
while and then needs to resynchronize all items with the server.

In other words all mails which were moved, deleted while Outlook was Offline
are not properly synchronized once its connected to the sogo server again.

Deleted email remain on the sogo Server and are never deleted. Moved emails
remain at their old location.

That's normal, it's "push email". It keeps a connection open for at most 5
minutes, and SOGo will internally poll for changes every 60 seconds for now.

Re: [SOGo] Outlook 2013 active Sync

2014-01-31 Thread Dominik Breu
Hello everyone,

im also testing active-sync via Outlook 2013 and Android. In my case i
got one message witch wasn't able to sync but when i moved it out of the
mailbox it works.
But then i got messages without any kind of German umlaut the messages
are in ISO 8859-1/15 codepage .

So my question did you need the .data from /tmp for some debugging or
should i force my users to switch to utf-8 as codepage for their mua.

The "fast syncing" thing is normal right now as we don't honor the
heartbeat interval. We'll do so today.

We traced it back to a mail containing bell characters (for whatever
reason…). After moving it into another account synchronization worked. As long
as the mail existed, SOGo fetched all mails, put them together in an (invalid)
XML file and the connection somewhat crashed when SOGo tried to convert it to
WBXML. Afterwards Outlook tried to fetch all the mails again, and again, …
If XML -> WBXML conversion fails (or the opposite), a dump will be
located in /tmp - look for .data files and send them to me. Usually, bug
fixes for these are trivial.

Re: [SOGo] Outlook 2013 active Sync

2014-01-31 Thread Jens Erat
We’re experiencing similar issues in our SOGo Active Sync test setup. Outlook
2013 syncs without ending. With one account we also had the „infinite syncing
without any data showing up“ effect. We traced it back to a mail containing
bell characters (for whatever reason…). After moving it into another account
synchronization worked. As long as the mail existed, SOGo fetched all mails,
put them together in an (invalid) XML file and the connection somewhat crashed
when SOGo tried to convert it to WBXML. Afterwards Outlook tried to fetch all
the mails again, and again, …

I will open a bug report with a sample file within the next hours. For finding
the mail making trouble I tried to apply the `xmlparse` tool to the crash dump
after removing all the entities (which are not allowed without the ActiveSync
DTD — does anybody know where to obtain it?). `xmlparse` will print line and
column of the invalid XML part, so you can try to identify what’s going wrong
without the need to hand over all the user’s mails.

Hy all,

I was making some more work with ActiveSync and Outlook 2013 and I
experienced the same as you in big accounts.

I am able to sync the emails, calendar and contacts in small
  accounts.
Even the data is being synced in small accounts in SOGo I have a
lot os Push logs, one every second and Outlook is always syncing,
it never stops... even if there is no new data...

In larger accounts it just stucks reading the emails from SOGo,
Outlook push the emails, once, and again and again and it seems to
not stop, when it is doing this, the load in the SOGo server
increase a lot. By the way, it syncs the folders, but all of them
  are empty...

Ruiz you are right, I dont need openchange for ActiveSync, lets
remove it from the equation :)

[SOGo] Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Openchange w SOGO, Outlook 2013

2013-11-29 Thread Terry Curtis
Switched to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and OpenChange mail is working, can send and
receive emails, but when I add an event to the calendar Outlook crashes.

This appears to be on the Outlook side due to no errors are showing up and
I can disconnect, remove the event using the web interface and restart
Outlook 2013 and Outlook works fine until the next calendar event.

I used the ZEG install script,
http://www.onlinedemo.hu/71-zeg-install-script, for the installation.

Re: [SOGo] Outlook 2013

2013-11-04 Thread Christian Punchin
I tried it a while ago and it worked. However, it had the "known" bugs that
I stopped using it.

Sambra crash when sharing folders, unable to write to shared calendars,
etc.

[SOGo] Outlook 2013

2013-09-24 Thread Cedric Perrot
Hello

I am new to this list and this question probably has been answered numerous
times.

Why is there nothing mentioned about Outlook 2013 support. Is it still being
tested? What's the roadmap?

Thanks

Cedric
