It's 2011 where I am, so there is no excuse for not running all your
services under some kind of virtualisation? I use linux-vservers for
most of mine (very lightweight, really a chroot++)

Assuming use of virtualisation, what problems does this cause for most
users? Your sogo instance would be presumed to be running in it's own
locked down space and certainly not be serving real files (otherwise
what would happen if it gets hacked?)

Good luck

Samba 4 is pretty stable, and used in production by various people. The
main reasons for it being alpha are that it doesn't yet support a
seamless upgrade from Samba 3 and the Active Directory Domain Controller
support it was set out to add isn't entirely done yet. It also just
needs needs more polishing and documentation.

For SOGo/Outlook native compatibility, Samba 4 is required. That can't
change.

How can i use sogo v2? Is there any possibility to make a
redhat/centos package that doesn't touch our existent samba installation?

Hello,
as I understand it you want to run samba3 and samba4 on the same machine?
So you need to compile everything carefully from source (samba-franky)

Then can i install only this libraries? Or only what i need?

I have no idea exactly how things work, but I can quote Ludovic from an
email sent to me, not via the list:

Samba 4 is used to decode the Exchange protocol. That means you won't have to
replace your currently running samba3/ldap environment.

But exactly how to do things: I'm not sure. I guess everything will be
released packaged, and we only need to apt-get install sogo-with-outlook
or something like that.

Sogo v2 uses the the samba4 libraries to 'decode' between outlook and
