Depends on what OS you are using but some binary releases can be downloaded
from:

  Hi, All:

 Hi,

Tomcat 4.1.x and when started the apache, it gives the following
  error:

  /usr/local/apache2/bin

Does anybody know what´s going on this time?

Do you have mod_jk installed in /usr/local/apache2/lib/modules/ ?

It might be the wrong version (it needs to be built for your version
 of apache httpd), I would
recommend just building it from src yourself.

Compatibility Apache 1.3.x Tomcat 4.1 and BO 6.5

2008-06-27 Thread Tan, Liao
Folks,
(posting this question here too, ´cause there´s tomcat issue)

I´m finding problems to compiling my original apache 2.0.46 in order to get
the ssl working, so I think switching to 1.3 would be an option. The thing is
that the apache 2.0.46, the tomcat 4.1 and BO 6.5 came together in a single cd
pkg, and would like to know from you if there´s compatibility. It means, I´d
downgrade only the apache, the tomcat and BO remains.
Please your kind and prompt guidance, we´ve been spending pretty much time
with our original apache, which doesn´t work with ssl.

Thanks,

Ingrid

Access port either from Apache and Tomcat?

2008-06-24 Thread Tan, Liao
Folks,
As Im not expert, ask you a simple question: im told that you can either acess
the port, or connect to the port (not sure the correct terms) thru apache or
tomcat. I was talking to people, and doing searches, and heard something about
that.
Currently, Im trying to enable my http to https, with certificates, with ssl
stuffs, but configuring apache. As by apache is not working, can I simply
switch to tomcat, and try to enable the https? Is that simple? What is required
on tomcat side?

Thank you.
Ingrid

RE: Question about mod_ssl mod_jk

2008-06-18 Thread Tan, Liao
Rainer,
Well, thanks for the instructions. In fact, had no idea on how old fashioned my
version is, anyway, it´already installed and won´t be updated till 2nd order.
I´m subscribing to httpd apache list.

I´m not clear yet on how you found out that You config snippets look like
they are for httpd 1.3.x, although your version says you are using httpd
2.0.x.. Didn´t see anywhere with 1.3.x version written below.

Ingrid

Yes, this is mostly an httpd question. You config snippets look like
they are for httpd 1.3.x, although your version says you are using httpd
2.0.x.

Your httpd version is very outdated (use 2.0.63 or even better 2.2.9),
your mod_jk version 1.2.4 is close to unusable (we are now at 1.2.26).

Rainer

I want to know what I need to do in order to to configure my current

guess I need to include the directives in httpd.conf:

 1)IfDefine SSL
   LoadModule ssl_module libexec/mod_ssl.so
   /IfDefine

 2)IfDefine SSL
   AddModule mod_ssl.c
   /IfDefine

Is this enough in order to enable the mod_ssl?

Already have all certificates configured in the paths. But still
unsure on if simply adding those 2 directives will be enough, and will
put the file (mod_ssl.so) there in the path, or if I have to get this
file from somewhere (if so, how?)

 Here are the environment configuration:
 Web server: Apache/2.0.46 (Unix) mod_jk/1.2.4
 Server: -HP-UX lath09 B.11.11 U 9000/800 690359356 unlimited-user license
 Tomcat: 4.0
