[xwiki-users] Limitations to the use of the Tooltip Macro?

2011-04-14 Thread Wouter de Vos
Hi all,

I am working with the Tooltip Macro, and I encounter some strange behaviour.
I can put in as many as I like in one page, but the event on click
only works with the first 8 Tooltips, when I use more, they show the
questionmark, but nothing happens when I click on that.

I tried to simply copy-paste one line of text with a working Tooltip
Macro, but with the same result, the first 8 work flawlessly, from
number 9 on it does not do anything when I click.

Is this a known bug, or is there a setting in the javascript extension
itself I can change ?
I looked through all the Objects of Tooltip, but did not find any such setting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I tried to add more than 8 tooltips ({{tooltip}}Text here{{/tooltip}}) on
the latest XWiki Enterprise version and I couldn't reproduce your issue.
Maybe you're using the id parameter and you have the same id used twice?
If not, it would be better for us to see an example of code in order to
reproduce the issue.

Re: [xwiki-users] Limitations to the use of the Tooltip Macro?

2011-04-14 Thread Wouter de Vos
Hello,
Thanks for the quick reply!
I tracked down the problem, this here works:

{{tooltip label="One" event="click" hint-style="color:black"}}
Text One
**Bold One**
{{/tooltip}}

{{tooltip label="Two" event="click" hint-style="color:black"}}
Text Two
**Bold Two**
{{/tooltip}}

But when I take away "Text One", it does not work:

{{tooltip label="One" event="click" hint-style="color:black"}}
**Bold One**
{{/tooltip}}

{{tooltip label="Two" event="click" hint-style="color:black"}}
Text Two
**Bold Two**
{{/tooltip}}

When I now take away the wiki bold syntax (**), it works again, but I
want the tooltip to appear bold.

What is happening? Do I have a typing error somewhere?

Thanks for the help,

Wouter

You can try installing from the zip package. The .exe version hasn't
been updated in a couple of years, so it is possible that it's no longer
working on newer Windows versions.

[xwiki-users] Move Child Page in Xwiki 3.0

2011-04-14 Thread Vincenzo Brancato
Hello,

I am using Xwiki 3.0 and I am wondering how to move Child Pages?
I have a parent page "Information". This page has a few child pages. Now I want
to move the child page "General" from "Information" to an other Page "Topic" in
the same Space. This page "Topic" has a few child pages too.
How can I do this in Xwiki 3.0?

Best regards

Enzo

Re: [xwiki-users] Move Child Page in Xwiki 3.0

2011-04-14 Thread Vincenzo Brancato
Sorry but now I found it. For people that have the same problem:
You have to edit the page you want to move.
Then on the top of the Editor, you can see where the page is located.
After the name of the current page, you will find a symbol with a tree
structure and a pen.
Click on the symbol to change the parent page.

Finished ^^

Best regards

Re: [xwiki-users] The confusing name 'WebHome'

2011-04-14 Thread Joris Dirks
Great reply's all! I appreciate the settings Ludovic mentions and the
improvements Caty and Thibout mention.
I don't think 'WebHome' is less confusing than 'Home' or 'Index'.
As "index" is Latin, I think the word is recognisable quite internationally.
As Thibout states, only the appereance in the "Add area" (mainmenu?)
would probably have to be changed (internationalised?), can't really
think of other places were most users find the term 'WebHome'. Not
sure if XE-411 is the answer there?

Hi Alina

It would be a good feature to have, and looks like it has already been
proposed
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/GoogleSummerOfCode/AdvancedEmailIntegration
http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/GoogleSummerOfCode/AdvancedEmailIntegration

You could try the IRC bot application:
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/IRC+Bot+Application
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/IRC+Bot+Application ,
otherwise I think the only other way would be to embed a chat room/instant
messenger on a page? It'd probably require a bit of Googling around for a
suitable one.
