[xwiki-users] Delete document by ID with velocity or direct from database ?
Hi. Is there a way to delete (e.g. using Velocity) document by it's ID ? One of my documents received bad name (I suppose lack of some input validation in rename form), I tried to fix it in xwikidoc table, and now I cannot access it in any way. I don't need it, but how to remove it safely? TIA, Ryszard. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users
[xwiki-users] Filtering boolean values in AppWithinMinutes table
Hi. In application created by AppWithinMinutes there is a non-functionality of filter on boolean-type columns. Values in such a column are shown as 'Yes/No' (with possible translations), but it is not possible to filter them by 'Yes/No' - one has to use '0' or '1'. It is very non-intuitive. Is there a known issue regarding this? TIA, Ryszard. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Re: [xwiki-users] Problem with solr search after language change
Hi, again. I still have problem with solr search, even with documents not touched by the language change. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create new page in Sandbox, name 'Sandbox.searchtest' 2. Enter single word in document content ('alamakota'), save 3. Try to search by this word - 0 results 4. Rename document into 'Sandbox.alamakota.WebHome' 5. Search again - 1 result (word found in Location). So, it seems the search does not work by document content. Search debug shows Parsed Query +((objcontent_en:alamakota | objcontent_pl:alamakota | objcontent__:alamakota)^0.4 | spaces:alamakota^0.016 | creator_display:alamakota^0.08 | (title_en:alamakota | title_pl:alamakota | title__:alamakota)^10.0 | (doccontent_en:alamakota | doccontent_pl:alamakota | doccontent__:alamakota)^2.0 | attauthor_display:alamakota^0.016 | author_display:alamakota^0.08 | name:alamakota^10.0 | filename:alamakota^0.4 | (attcontent_en:alamakota | attcontent__:alamakota | attcontent_pl:alamakota)^0.4 | (comment__:alamakota | comment_en:alamakota | comment_pl:alamakota)^0.016 | (doccontentraw__:alamakota | doccontentraw_en:alamakota | doccontentraw_pl:alamakota)^0.4) It seems it does search by 'alamakota' word in objcontent_pl, but how can I find out why it does not find it? [xwiki-users] Subwiki - How to prevent automatic local user creation ?
Hi. I've the following configuration: * XWIki Enterprise 5.4.5 with path-based subwikis * Main wiki using LDAP (AD) authentication * Subwiki with "both local and global users" I'm trying do configure it so, that Global users will be authenticated by AD (possibly with some AD-to-Wiki group mappings) and Local users will be authenticated against xwiki database. It's almost working. If the Global user is logged in to the main wiki and then goes to the subwiki - he/she can use it as Global user (which can be checked looking at the 'profile' or 'preferences' urls included in the heading bar). But if the user without prior logging to the main wiki goes straight to subwiki and enters his AD credentials - a new Local user is being created. Is there a way to prevent the Local user creation? I suppose, that changing xwiki.authentication.ldap.trylocal to '0' in xwiki.cfg is not the solution - I'll lose the ability to have local users in subwiki, right? Hi. Is there a document describing prefetred settings to have xwiki and solr-based search working well for non-multilingual, non-en documents? I have a problem with solr search (xwiki 5.3). My language settings are: multilingual: no supported languages: pl,en default language: - I'm testing with different values here and in xwiki.cfg: xwiki.language.preferDefault=1 xwiki.language.forceSupported=1 Test no 1: default language: pl When I create new document, it has (in database) xwd_language = '' and xwd_default_language = 'pl' - so it looks ok: xwd_fullname | xwd_language | xwd_default_language -+--+-- Sandbox.SzukajWNazwieStronyTest | | pl I try to search on 'SzukajWNazwie' - solr suggest does suggest this page, but entering search result the result list is empty. If i try searching by document content - both search suggest and search result list are empty. When I change default language: en and create a document, it has properties: xwd_fullname | xwd_language | xwd_default_language --+--+-- Sandbox.SearchInPageNameTest | | en Then: 1. Suggest does find the document by its name, search does too 2. Suggest does not find the document by its content, but search does. Searching of polish document works as before the change I'm a little bit confused, I cannot see any consistent rule in the behavior. Thanks in advance for any tips. Hi, again. It seems that levels are increased by one in each document for each parent leading to 'top document', they are not increased only if the parent is empty. What is it for? [xwiki-users] Multipage PDF Export and child/parent dependency
Hi. I'm trying to use http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Multipage+Export+Application . It works almost fine, but I cannot find out how to create document structure exactly as I need. I've created three pages in Sandbox (T1, T2 and T3) with the following content (xwiki source): T1: = T1-1 = T2: = T1-2 = T3: = T1-3 = (T1 stands for "Title1" heading). Each one of them has 'Sandbox.WebHome' as their parent. When I create Multipage export (html or pdf), then in resulting document heading levels are being changed. This is HTML output: T1-1T2T1-2T3T1-3 Is there any way to keep the original heading levels intact? TIA, R. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

See http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/HowToSolveAJavaHeapMemoryError If you have a big .xar to import, you may have to: * export your source wiki space-by-space (see http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Large+Export+By+Space+Application) * split your .xar manually (unzip/edit packages.xml/zip part of dirs - risky if you have weird page names) * use some BIG machine (I've used EC2 High-Memory instance) Cheers, R. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

Well, it will work unless you have already entered some non-ascii data - it is being corrupted while entering xwikircs.xwr_patch. If you've already broken some data - let me know, I can share some suggestion how to make the broken versioning at least operational. I've had a bad luck (better say: didn't check if versioning works after upgrade) and now I have a few weeks of patches to repair. In short, we've had to: * for records craeted before upgrade - import xwikircs data from backup * for records created between update and switching hibernate mapping to text - convert non-UTF characters to whatever, what can be entered (and read) without error to database Cheers, R. ___ users mailing list users@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/users

[xwiki-users] Non-ascii hibernate versioning problem
Hi. I have a problem with hibernate versioning of non-ascii characters. I'm following all recommendations from http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Encoding (database Postgresql, DB's locale pl_PL.UTF-8), but it does not work - there is always a problem with viewing old versions (see http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-7539). I'm wondering, if it is possible, that nobody else has that problem. I've tried with xwiki 3.4, xwiki 3.5, even with xwiki 3.3 launched with empty postgresql database versioning does not work correct. The only properly working installation is my old, many times upgraded xwiki database, where in xwr_patch column of xwikircs table are stored patches for previous doc versions. All installations where xwr_patch contains number of large object have problems with versioning. Any help will be appreciated. Hi. Could anyone, please, give any info about status of filesystem attachment storage? Is it stable? Does it deal with non-ascii filenames prolerply? I expected, that it would be easy possible to write a small piece of code to fetch some rows from an external table and use LiveTable macro. After some tests I realized, that the logic of paging, fetching next result sets etc. won't work, If I simply generate JSON output from some CGI script - it is at the LiveResults' side. Finally we will use XLM-RPC api to create pages with objects of our xwiki class and use this class with LiveTable macro. Thanks, R. -- "First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. [xwiki-users] Display external data using LiveTable Macro
Hi! Does anybody know how to display some external data using LiveTable macro? I can see in doc, that there is an 'url' alternative datasource (alternative to className and resultsPage), but I cannot find any examples using it. I've tried to write to the text file the JSON output used by the macro, then I put the file on some http server and try to use its url in macro invocation, but it does not work.
