ROLE OVERVIEW:
Corporate Banking is a business responsible for risk managing the corporate
loans across Investment Banking, Fixed Income and Equities. We have a
leading edge technology platform used as both an MIS reporting tool and a
risk management tool for the purpose of analyzing our loans and credit
default swap hedges. The objective is to build and support a Web based
business intelligence application which is used by the Corporate Banking
group for risk reporting and Reference data management. Functionalities
include:
§ Risk reporting
o Portfolio Risk Reporting
o Trend analysis
o Metrics/Performance and scorecards
o Management reporting
o As of Historical reporting
o Dash boarding
o Graphs and Charts
§ Other Core functionalities include
o Reconciliation
o Extraction Transformation and Load
o Batch data load processing

Substantial effort will focus on developing and supporting a Corporate
Banking web reporting application using Oracle 10g, PL/SQL, UNIX and ETL
programming.

KEY DELIVERABLES:
As member of the Corporate Bank IT team will focus delivering the following
projects on time to business specification in the first 12 to 18 months:
• Data model changes to source data from upstream trade and booking systems
• Implementation of strategy tool and rules engine for corporate banking
business
• Implementation of advances business intelligence analysis capabilities
using integration to business object XI SDK for J2EE application
• Batch processing for APAC, LN and NY COB

Overall responsibilities will also include:
• Develop J2EE applications, interfaces and reports based on business and
technical specifications provided by IT Business Analyst or other
developers
• Gain understanding of Credit Suisse’s Corporate Banking business.
• Work effectively with team member in other locations situated globally.
• Provide 1st line of support for application (web and ETL batch).
• Participate in all flavors of testing to ensure functional quality and
accuracy
• Mentor / cross-train other team members.
• Work in an extremely fast and dynamic environment
• Be able to troubleshoot issues, and any awareness of the ITIL Problem
Management processes would be a distinct advantage
• Communicate well with New York and Singapore team members on both
development and support issues
• Document on delivered functionality/code as required
• Adhere to set coding standards, procedures and techniques.
• Work with other IT groups to configure, implement and support production.
• Involved in full development lifecycle development projects
• Object-oriented analysis, design and programming (UML a plus)
• Knowledge of Loans business
• Business Objects reporting
• Work on next generation platform for Syndicated Bank Loans processing.

*DAILY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:*

The Risk Assessment Analyst will report to the Senior Program Manager for
Symantec’s Risk Management Program. This program is critical to Symantec’s
enterprise risk management framework and provides the foundation for
defining and evolving Symantec’s Risk Management strategy and understanding
and improving current Security Controls business continuity capabilities
and practices

This position has global purview and will be responsible for driving the
execution of Risk Assessments across several geographical regions and
Symantec Business Units.

Maintenance and coordination of Symantec Threat Taxonomy.

Work with the many inputs for Risk Assessment defined in the Symantec Risk
Assessment method.

Interface with GSO functional towers to collect and correlate results of
Risk Assessment inputs.

Complete Risk Assessment documentation within GSO standards and engage with
key stake holders to develop risk treatment and mitigation plans.

Schedule and conduct cross functional meetings as required ensuring that
Risk Assessments have the necessary pre-requisites in accordance with the
Symantec Identify Standard.





*REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): *

1. 3+ years in Risk Management related positions with high-level problem
solving and technical project management experience.

2. CISSP/CISA/CISM/CRISC/ISO Auditor or similar certified

3. Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Continuity Management and/or
Disaster Recovery Management in large enterprise creating, implementing,
and maintaining enterprise-wide business continuity plans

4. Ability to lead risk assessment activities across multiple business
units.

5. Demonstrable background in Security controls assessment.

6. Experience in conducting business impact analyses and Risk Assessment.

and create reports - this person will not be required to create the
frameworks and dynamic cubes but will help in that area if they have those

Project Information:

This individual will be working in a team of five in house DBAs. There are
additional thirty five third party vendor DBAs. Bulk of work would involve
working on a project “app” and then moving it over to third party vendor
DBA. During the first month there will be “fine-tuning” for the holiday.
After the holidays it will be mainly be a support role

Most of the apps are running on Oracle, however, there is still a lot of
apps on MS SQL Server. In all this would be a technical lead position. Some
of the apps include SAP ECC, E-Business and number of other retail related
applications.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Eight years experience in the development and/or architecture management of
an enterprise data warehouse required. Successful completion of at least 2
SQL Server-based data warehouse development projects required.   Requires
experience gathering requirements, determining  table structures,
importing data from varied sources into a meaningful data structure,
 facilitating reporting requirements,  and establishing a standard for
 on-going maintenance, training, and support.

*SKILL REQUIREMENTS: *
•Expert skill level in  MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, SQL Server Management
Studio, Business Intelligence Development Studio and SSRS.

•MS Excel, Report Writing and critical thinking skills.   Knowledge of  HR
 process and workflows, regulations,  data and metrics required.
