eh sorry ... I mean the default of this tags is no. And for
sqwebmail-3.0 and above use default no.. if you read the
configuration --help .. hehehehe

But maybe you still have to add this tags in your vpopmail's
configuration and if you change password with vchangepw, tools from
vpopmail, it will change the sqwebmail-pass file, just maybe 'cos i
don't know well the flow...heheheh :D

2004-01-30 Thread agus basyari
I don't use this version but i have a problem like this in vpopmail
5.3.29 and sqwebmail-3-6.1. But I use vpopmail 5.3.30 and
sqwebmail-3.6.1 and i don't have the message anymore, I can change
the password in this version.

Did u have configure with :
  configure --enable-changepass=yes
when you install sqwebmail ?

And this configuration in vpopmail:
  configure --enable-sqwebmail-pass=y

This tags is used in version vpopmail-5.3.22 below, and i try to find
this tags in version 5.3.30 but i can't, maybe this tags is only for
old version of vpopmail.

Oh yeah .. you have to configure :
--with-authvchkpw
in sqwebmail's configuration.

I'm not familiar with how sqwebmail interfaces to vpopmail. Does it
link libvpopmail? If so, did you recompile and reinstall sqwebmail
after installing vpopmail?

I don't know much about 5.3.5, but I do know that 5.4.0-rc2 is
available, and would guess that it is more stable than 5.3.5.

Sure. http://spork.us/dotqmailedit-1.1.tgz

There's a brief README, but I highly recommend reading through
dotqmailedit.c for more information.

In brief, this gives vacation/forward/spam-controls to users within
squirrelmail.

[vchkpw] Segmentation Fault (core dumped) when running vpasswd

2004-01-30 Thread Brendan McAlpine
When I run the vpasswd command from the command line I am getting a
segmentation fault (core dumped) error. I am issuing the command
correctly, and its been working fine for a long time. No changes were
made to the box recently so I'm not sure what is causing this.

I am running vpopmail 5.3.5.

If anyone can offer any suggestions on how to fix this I would
appreciate it.

Thanks

Brendan

But, if anyone is interested, we have a squirrelmail plugin and a small C
program to handle turning spam-filtering on/off and also for setting
vacations and forwards from within SquirrelMail. It does not require
running your webserver as the vpopmail user. Combined with the "sasql"
plugin, it gives users the ability to set many vpopmail options without
having to ever look at qmailadmin.
Let me know if anyone has interest in this. The only thing I ask is that
if you find it useful, that you contribute any cleanup back to me.

I strongly recommend against using the postmaster account that way. If
your domain is ever believed to be spamming or causing any other kind of
problem to people on the internet, the postmaster account is one of the
first places they'll try to use to get you to correct it. Very little
(if any) postmaster mail should be discarded - even if it's spam.

[vchkpw] child crashed with remote email address for cvs source

2004-01-30 Thread Ken Jones
I'm seeing
Aack,_child_crashed._(#4.3.0)

with the latest cvs source when the qmail-default file looks like
| /home/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When it delivers to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I get the child crashed.

Is there a fix for this?
