[VFB] Re: [flyfishingworld] QUOTE FOR THE DAY

2010-04-02 Thread Jimmy D. Moore

Mel,

That's not from my Quote lists. Seems like I've seen it somewhere, but
don't remember the author or if he was even acknowledged..
Maybe some other member will know. Reminds me of the old saying, "I'll
dance with who brung me." Being the fisherman will take whatever fish
hits his fly/lure.

JIMMY D

P.S. I'll send it to the VFB, FFW and HCFF lists and see if anyone there
knows.

A while back I think, the quote for the day was something like: "The
true fisherman will fish for what's hitting. If only minnows are
hitting, he will fish for minnows."

I believe I saw it on your quote for the day. If so, any idea,
without going back and searching through tons of quotes, whose quote
it was? I have it as my signature on Fly Fishing Forum, and would
like to credit the speaker!

Thanks for that and all your efforts!

Mel

[VFB] QUOTE FOR THE DAY

2010-04-02 Thread Jimmy D. Moore
Seems like I do more apologizing for being lax on the QFTD, than I do of
posting the daily fishing
quotes. It's not that I don't have the time. I do. Guess it's just
lack of motivation, other priorities,
etc.. So if someone else would like to take over for a while, let me
know and please feel free to
do so. I have, in word doc. form, some 99 pages of mostly fly fishing
quotes, 324 kb, that I'd be
glad to send to you.

Who's gonna volunteer first? :-P

JIMMY D

P.S. You'll note in the From / To column, that I send the quotes to the VFB,
Fly Fishing World, and Hill
Country Fly fishers. Many VFB'ers are also members of Fly Fishing World and
Hill Country Fly Fishers.
If you accept the job, but are not a member of the FFW or HCFF, we can get you
signed up or you can
let me know and I'll forward the QFTD to them
