I've set myself a goal of 10 hours a week set aside just to tie flies, 
and come up with several newer patters.  Complete my web site and get a 
dozen up on Myflies.com, after all I paid the fee in 2011 and never got 
around to completing the forms because I couldn't pick just 12 flies 
that get fish for me.


And finish the organization of materials, I actually sorted and 
inventoried 80% and labels the containers

The spine is where I put the guides.LOL
After I twist the rod, I then find the spine. The first twist is on the 
original spine. I have made several bamboo rods that had no distinguishable 
spine.

Thanks for the photos.  I liked the corn-cob reel seat, but I don't know if 
it'll compliment the 'busyness' of a spiraled rod.  I also like the darl/light 
burl- that would really compliment the rod if you did a dark/light laminate.

Wouldn't the spine theoretically be helical?  Ifvso, then it would almost be 
non existant or the guides would spiral around the blank with the spine.  
Actually, I imagine you can still place the guides on the original spine every 
time the spiral lines up with the reference guide, you would place another 
guide, that is if the spacing works out.  I imagine since your the one inducing 
the twist, you make the spine side end up where the guides should be.

being adopted by Tony and me.  That plus liberal infusions of AW Root Beer.

You got to see the rod in person, pictures don't do it justice.  The corn 
cob grip is suprisingly comfortable but,  Tony's rattan covered grip has got to 
be the most confortable grip I've tried yet!  And it would look  good on a 
twisted quad with two side flamed.
 
Just my two cents worth, hopin g perhaps you'll come for SowBug.

Thanks for the photos.  I liked the corn-cob reel seat, but I don't know if 
it'll compliment the 'busyness' of a spiraled rod.  I also like the darl/light

ended it with some very expensive well repairs.

The bill was large enough that I may have to skip Sowbug and FFF 
conclave in West Yellowstone and stay closer to home.
