theuptake.org has used Mogulus extensively as well. When I've done stuff
with them, they usually have their office in MN have master control and a
bunch of us in various cities chiming in from, say, election polling places.
Worked really well for me, has lots of little gadgets for you to use, and
actually usually works! (which is always a plus)

thanks jan.

i've been wondering if mogulus is the bliptv of live broadcasting so to
speak ;)
been itching to try some live stuff myself... not to necessarily do a live
show but just get familiar with the tech/services around this.
its an area i had decided long ago to ignore because the quality was
godawful and i personally was not turned on by LIVE stuff like some
were/are.
but not tech is better and its def more interesting to me. 24artists24hours

i was working for Midnight Blue at the time i saw the posting in the

today, according to NPR, the Supreme court of these United States for
the third time this year sent back to a lower court a dismissal of
case about a retaliatory firing on the basis of sexual harrasment.

30 years ago this happened to me. i was 22, and, well, 22 then. no
notice was taken. well , events prove some official notice was taken,
but none ever reached my bank account in any useful sort of way.

the worm does turn, but the accounting is fuzzy.

so, do what you gotta do, no matter what you do the accounting will be
fuzzy. it's not about what you make, but about what you keep that's

Having used a bunch of these services in various applications
(including the live broadcast of "35" and VlogEurope 07), I've stuck
with Mogulus for my own stuff. Not that I do altogether that much
live...

That said, I like that I can easily 'go' live and create a storyboard
that lives on with material around that 'live' work. I like that I can
auto import media via RSS. I like that the vids and their site can be
branded.

That their pro level exists indicates a commitment to scaling the
thing. Should the need arise, it's there. Some comfort in that...

If anyone's interested in playing around with two remote location
producers working back and forth live, I've been looking for someone
to fool around with that interface...let me know off-list.

Best,
Jan

Everyone wants YouTube fame because YouTube has made a few people
famous. Some are even banging thousands of dollars in monthly checks.
That's why they are doing it.

Now whether they will actually see all of that is another matter
entirely. I don't -- I'm too monotone.

how long was the very first moving picture ever made? if memory
serves, it was a few seconds of a racehorse . . . and people had to
learn how to hold the photos in their head to make sense of the
assemblage.

time and technology go hand in hand. i want to look at these long
videos mentioned here but my air card is not as interested . . .

ok?
