Programs that handle .mov files usually make calls to quicktime. If 
quicktime is not present on the system then they won't be usable. If 
quicktime is installed then try saving the .mov file in a different 
format ( you may need a pro key to do this).

I use the lite version of Sony Vegas it ended up costing me under 
100 and it is really nice, I know they are looking for free but I 
have to say if you are on a PC Vegas is top notch and worth the 
investment
