Re: [Videolib] Dark Shadows
Tim Burton is doing a remake with Johnny Depp. I was really confused when I checked on the link and it said episodes available from Butler Media I swear I was thinking There is a distributor I never heard of, how did they end up with rights? Must go get some coffee. Also if we are in the fun posts for Friday. I just put this up on friends facebook page because she wrote about her crush on actor/singer Ed Ames. That was VERY funny, Jessica. And in the spirit of Friday silliness, I offer this little nomination to GREAT moments in TV history, from last night's Jeopardy. We would come home and watch it after school. In the summer, we would get out of the pool at 3:00, dry off, go in and watch the end of One Life to Live before watching Dark Shadows! There seems to be a longtime history of women fantasizing about handsome vampires! And in the spirit of Funny Friday, here's my favorite commentary on this ungodly (as it is usually portrayed) desire to be bitten on the neck by a overly obsessed male when in real life, most would call cops. Re: [Videolib] Dark Shadows
You take me back, Becky. I used to do the same thing. I guess Dark Shadow was the Twilight of its day. My big revelation was when I discovered that Joan Bennett had actually been a movie star before doing this show! In Canada on the CBC television network we had another show called Strange Paradise which had a similar feel but was more Jane Eyre-ish. [Videolib] Public performance licensing for If God is Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise?
Hello everyone, I haven't been able to find a distributor for non-theatrical public performance rights for Spike Lee's 2010 documentary, If God is Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise. IMDB says it's from HBO. If HBO films are available for licensing, I can usually find them at Swank - but not this one. Does anyone have information? Thanks, Marilyn -- Marilyn B. Re: [Videolib] Public performance licensing for If God is Willing and Da Creek Don't Rise?
For some reason there is a history of Spike Lee HBO docs being difficult to track down and license. I think if you can find the right person at HBO you can get help but I know it is key that no admission is charged.
